In the past, the Indians longed for government jobs and they saw these jobs as an asset incomparable. and slowly the scenario changed post liberalization as various MNC's entered Indian market and showed a fancy mirror to our society by providing high salaries and allied benefits.
People didnt prefer the private jobs earlier, but now these jobs have entered every home, making them a common thing. But still, conservative (hey, conservative means risk-aversive/security conscious people here
) people prefer government job, and moreover, people hailing from villages seem to be more fond of government jobs. Moreover, many people also prefer these jobs for the simple reason that nobody can fire you for non performance or being irregular at job. 
But my question here are:
1- For a professional, what type of jobs are good and why?
2- What if remuneration in private job is more than double as compared to the government job at a point of time, how to make a choice as Government jobs are hard to get?
3- Will the answer be any different for ladies into professional field?
