I met Prof. Anil Gupta for a job interview in 2003, consequently, due to getting scholarship to study further, i could not join this great initiative, He is the one behind the organisation SRISHTI (Society for Research and Initiatives in Sustainable Technology and Innovation) that has been mentioned in my previous post in this thread. He's a very friendly and brilliant person and I think if Haryana government in interested in homemade solutions for technological problems, he should be taken into the loop...

So far Sustainability has not been defined into the agendas/mandates of any of the state government. It is a very important and need of the hour area that should guide all national and state development projects. It will be of great benefit for haryana government if they could include this in their mandate to achieve a wholesome growth (economy, environment and social growth) instead of the lopsided growth that we are witnessing in our country. I hear it everyday on one hand we have the indian companies becoming worldwide giants, on the other hand we still have the poverty, groundwater levels receding and polluted...we need a balanced growth...and these small sustainable innovations can help to achieve that...

Think i got a bit carried away...pardon me for taking the thread in a different direction...Rkji, we need to start discussion on sustainability separately...
