पानी बढ़िया हैं ...ज्यादा ग्रीनरी हैं ... ट्रैफिक जाम के प्रॉब्लम नहीं हैं...सड़क तो अगले २० साल के लिए extendable .. organized hain से ..बस सर्विस भी अच्छी हैं atleast बस कंडिशन्स तो आची ही हैं ... हमारी बेहेने बिटिया सफ़र कर सकती हैं ..और पका उनको सीट भी मिल जाएगे ..sewege problem nahin hain

Bakee bhai I am talking about the life needs if you think delhi is better because of Malls, Flyover and metro then ofcourse Delhi is developed than many US beautiful cities (because they don't have metro and flyovers)

And I think this is fair analysis being spend 7 years in Delhi and just 1 year in Chandigarh.

On the top of that to hide there weekness and fool the public every two they through Master plan 2010...2020..2030 etc for debate nothing else.

I am sure if you just think "Capital city of India"... you will surely feel absense of lot of things...except politics

maan saab mein naraaz nahi ho raha. jaha tak paise dekar kaam karane ki baat hai to yeh hindustan hai.yaha har jagah yeh ho raha hai.
aur mere khyal se chandigarh aur delhi ko compare nahi kiya ja sakta.delhi is a big metropolitan city with a huge population as compared to chandigarh.so a city like delhi can only be compared with an equally big metropolitan city like gurgaon or mumbai.now staying in chandigarh or delhi completely depends upon an individual.one who would like to stay in a big metropolitan or a cosmopolitan city will not stay in chandigarh.now he will decide that whether he would go for gurgaon or delhi or mumbai etc.the problems like water ,encroachments are the problems of any big city.or put it this way i would like to spend my entire youth in delhi and may settle in chandigarh when i get old.

chalo aapko dilli ki sare sadke dikha dete hai aise kya baat hai.aap aur baaki yaha par jitne bhai log hai hai khud decide kar le ki ye sadke chodi hai ki nahi aur dilli mein kitni greenery hai.

aapki bijli wali baat...bas kuch din pehle bijli ki problem thi..kai saalon baad aisi problem hui hai.infact we get 24 hrs electric supply throughout the year.paani ki baat.to beshak hum up aur haryana se lete ho lekin pani ki koi badi samasya nahi hai.kuch jagah paani ki mara mari hai par woh unauthorised colonies hai.i was born and brought up in delhi and i dont think that water and electricity problems are much.yeh aapke chandigarh ke traffic aur encroachment pe ek article

Where traffic jams are order of the day

Traffic violations and jams have become common in the town, thanks to the traffic police’s apathy and unchecked wrong parking and traffic violations on the national highway passing through the town.
The population of the town that was nearly 10,000 has now increased threefold, but the roads remain overcrowded, as the number of vehicles has gone up manifold during the past few years.
Being centrally located, more than 1,600 private and government buses enter the town from Dharamsala, Pathankot, Chandigarh, Delhi, Hoshiarpur, Shimla, Kullu, Manali and Mandi and an equal number of trucks and more than 3,000 cars and jeeps ply here daily.
Unfortunately, the traffic jams indicate deterioration in the efficiency graph of the traffic police. The traffic jams have been witnessed on the Dharamsala road, outside the new general bus stand and on the Gupt Ganga road.
Unchecked wrong parking of vehicles has been the basic reason for the traffic jams. Besides, encroachments and motor repair workshops on the Dharamsala road also add to the traffic jams.
The Gupt Ganga road connecting Dr. RP Govt. Medical College, Tanda, with the town at Tehsil chowk remains mostly jammed. Traffic jams near the Zamanabad road junction on the national highway are common with no police personnel deputed there.
Though the Kangra bypass has lessened the pressure in the main town still the daily traffic has gone unmanageable.
Rash and negligent driving and triple riding by youths in the town particularly from the College road to the bus stand remains unchecked by the law enforcing agencies. Youths enjoy a rash ride at the cost of lives of people and even they do not carry a driving licence but alas there is none to check it!
The Senior Citizens Forum here in a letter to the local SDM complained that traffic crisis had attained an alarming proposition saying that boys and girls in the age group of 14 to 18 years were driving vehicles in the town with none to check them. BL Sharma, general secretary of the forum, in the letter said negligent driving and minor accidents were common in the town.
Senior citizens allege that the roads have shrunk due to illegal encroachments and wrong parking which was posing threat to lives of senior citizens, school-going children and women while walking on these roads.
The traffic mess could be witnessed outside the SBI and HDFC banks on the Dharamsala road, besides near old bus stand outside multipurpose stores with the police no where to check wrong parking.
One-way traffic in the main market of the town could not be implemented and remained on the papers only. Even a traffic post inaugurated in the general bus stand did not even redress the traffic problem just outside the bus stand. More than 24 persons died during last two years on the Dharamsala road which is a national highway passing through the town. Neither the speed breakers were put on this road by the department concerned despite people’s demand nor the police checked the negligent driving by youths.

again i am saying that delhi is a huge metropolitan city and cant be compared with chandigarh.the population of chandigarh is close to 9 lakhs while that of delhi is more than 1 crore 20 lakhs.so much pressure on the civic amenities but still delhi is the best metropolitan city in the country.

Low-Floor buses start plying today

Starting Tuesday, low floor buses with automatic transmission, pneumatic doors and air suspension will finally become a reality on the Capital's roads. The first lot of a dozen buses will be flagged off by the chief minister from India Gate lawns on Tuesday afternoon. Of these, 10 buses will run on route 500 - from Shivaji Stadium to Saket - while two other buses will be used for training purposes. The on-road fleet will run at a frequency of 16-20 minutes. According to senior Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) officials, the new fleet will run on the existing fare structure to start with.
In the next two months, the next lot of buses will be extended to other routes - Mudrika and route 40 from Inderpuri to Lajpat nagar are being considered.
The entire lot of 525 new buses is scheduled to hit the road by July 2008 and is expected to considerably augment the Capital's bus-based public transport.
The first air conditioned bus is also arriving on Tuesday. Once the prototype gets the final nod, the first lot of air conditioned buses will hit the road by this month end, and the entire air conditioned fleet will arrive by December this year.
The new "world-class" fleet promises to introduce Delhi-zens to an all-new bus service as they are fitted with pneumatic doors which the bus driver can operate at the press of a button, built in speed governors for added safety, automatic transmission to cut driver fatigue, tubeless tyres, air suspension, a 230 horsepower rear engine for added comfort. The low height makes them disabled friendly.
DTC already has about six low-floor buses plying on city routes but the new fleet, officials say, is completely different.
The existing buses are Indian technology, in comparison to their Brazilian counterparts which have several added features. The maintenance and even cleaning of the new fleet will be done by the manufacturer for the first 7.5 lakh km while DTC will provide drivers, conductors and CNG.

ab yeh buses 2007 mein shuru hui hai and more and more such buses are being added to the dtc fleet.yeh saari nayi buses hai to naturally condition a1 hogi.lagta hai aap delhi bahut time se aaye nahi ho.

NEW DELHI - Around 1,000 more low-floor buses will be plying on the city roads by September this year as part of the government’s plan to phase-out the ‘killer’ Blueline buses and ease public transport woes, the Delhi High Court was told Wednesday.

The city government sought more time from the Delhi High Court to extend the deadline for buying low floor buses in the capital.
The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) informed the court that they have already placed order for 2,500 low floor buses and 40 percent of them would be on the roads by September and the remaining by February next year.
The DTC said a proposal for another 2,000 low-floor buses is lying with the state government.
‘Talks for installing the Global Positioning System on the buses is at an advanced stage. The technical aspects are being studied by Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System Limited,’ the DTC said.
The Delhi government also informed the court that a proposal for corporatisation of the state transport is also under consideration and a decision will be taken soon.
The court asked the government to come up with a proper plan very soon and slated the matter for hearing May 6.
Taking cognisance of accidents due to Blueline buses, the court in October 2007 directed the government to frame new guidelines and phase out all Blueline buses from the city roads.

I think we are talking about the capital of Haryana, we have a capital and if we leave chandigarg without taking anything that will not be fair with the people of Haryana.Gurgaon cannot be a capital of Haryana becoz it is not in the centre of Haryana. There is no doubt about that, within one year Haryana High court is shifting to rohtak.. processing already started... aur bhai logic bhi banta hei its situated in the middle of haryana so all types of convenience to other distict peoples. Formaly anouncement will be coming just after the election.... just wait and watch there is no point of discussion between Gurgaon and CHD. Thay all are part of No.1 Haryana.

makes sense.gurgaon is already developed.but rohtak is still developing and has the potential to be developed much much further.so if rohtak is made the capital ,it will bring more development in rohtak and adjoining areas.but i still have my doubts.i dont think so they will change the capital.

Ch. Bansilal's dream was to make Chang (village near Bhiwani -Bhiwani Meham road) His choice for this place was because of two reasons First to make bhiwani centre point for development second it also comes near centre. In my opinion Julana or Meham are ideal places for making capital of Haryana. Meham is easily accessible to all people as it is on highway. Julana is a small village so there you can get lot of land that is required for offices. I had heard that there was some plan of centre govt. to make domestic airport in Lakhan Majra but state govt. refused due to fertile land belt.
