I fully endorse your view that you have not used any derogatory words.
The above remark in my post pertains to many of the posts in this thread and they are in place for any one to read.
Bring one example/case of ban by me, I shall be thankful to you.
If it is not there, then, what is the justification for use of 'foul' language against one particular person by a few fellow jatland.com members!

जनमत संग्रह के आकड़ों से साफ है 22 लोग मे से 16 सदस्यों ने मोडरेटर से खुश नही का बटन दबा दिया है.....| हालांकि पोल 5 दिसंबर तक खुला है... पर मोडरेटर महोदय ने बड़ी विनम्रता से इस जनमत संग्रह का आदर करते हुए तुरंत इस "पद" को त्यागने को प्रस्ताव दिया है.....और मै समझता हू कि अब वह काम चलाऊ के रूप रहेंगे... और पोस्टों में ज्यादा मोडरेशन नही करेंगे ... अब समय है कि नई सोच के नए सभापति को चुनकर... फिर से आगे की शुरूआत किया जाय.....साथ ही कुछ दिशा निर्देश भी बना ले तो ठीक रहेगा... जिससे ज्यादा मोडरेशन की जरूरत ही ना पड़े...और इस स्थिति की पुनरावृत्ति न हो.....पर इसका निर्णय कौन करेगा ....

यहां पर मूक प्रताड़ित लोग बहुत हैं , वे ना वोट डालते हैं , ना विरोध में लिखते हैं ,पर मुझे फोन करते हैं । कल एक भाई का फोन आया वो कह रहा था की राजपाल अपने आप को हरयाणा विधान सभा का अध्यक्ष समझते हैं । हा हा हा हा ,समय बीतने दो और लोग भी लिखेंगे और आप पर हँसेंगे । अगर ये धागा चलता रहा तो । हम रहें या ना रहें ,पर आएँगी हमारी सदायें , जमाने तक ।

Rajpal ji please continue as you do always. Yeh sara rola rajniti aaali dhaage ka sa. Gine chune hain. A suggestion if you care: put those threads on moderation for everybody. Only 1 post per person allowed per day, except moderator. Jisne pasand na, woh nyaari dukaan khol le (I learnt it from Col Malik). Hope it helps.

One more such suggestion: Every member should be allowed just 5 minutes to stay in logged in phase. Offcourse 'except moderator'. JL should kick the members active user session (or may be IP) auto-out, till next day. However, their login can continue in guest session.

That is what moderation is and it was only a suggestion since only political threads were becoming heated. It is to bring down tone of some of them. It is a well known moderation technique and is used quite a bit. We do not have to follow it.

Five minute session only for political (heated) threads, marked as temporary flagged for strict moderation at moderators discretion.
Supression and opression are two biggest killer found in India. The atmosphere around us is so convoluted that things will never move easily and pose severe restriction on the progress. Be it Indian markets or be it social freedom. People are grown in such a atmosphere where prejudice and too much regulation is norm. For girls, you cannot go out after this time. You cannot wear such clothes. Interacting with elders you need to have a proper protocol otherwise you are being disrespectful. This is just one aspect of regulation.
Other aspect is our government which control a lot. Government unnecessary regulation on agriculture, mining, retail, real estate, markets etc is another aspect of freedom. Such control pose a serious danger of people lives. We are so obsessed with control, regulation, we cannot think anyfurther than this. There are so many taboo topics in our country which impact everyone lives. But no one want to touch them due to such an enclosed mentality. Acceptance for openness is not there. People look down upon you if you discuss such topics. Same story is here as well. Moderator saheb is so obessed with regulation, he cannot think beyond restriction. He does not know if you tightly control a social forum like this then you are defeating the purpose of social forum. I hope some sense will prevail and moderator saheb will learn something(Oh sorry, Moderator saheb is elder to me, how come he can learn from anyone). In the patriarchal society, how dare you question and talk like this!

PS: I had already requested and once again requesting not to use foul language for anyone here.
It appears that a few members were put on moderation and they couldn't post. From memory if you get 3 points infration you are on moderation and if you get one more you cannot post.
Jatland is facing lot of competition from other social media and if it has to survive we have to change the way we treat our members.
Without members a website is nothing. Banning or putting a member on moderation should be the last resort and especially if the member is the likes of Ravinder Jeet Singh. He has the capibility to run the whole website on his own. Sometime we all get involved too much in the discussion and it become heated but rather than banning members just delete the abusive language. Another thing is if a discussion goes little bit 'off-topis' let it be. Lot of the topics are inter-linked and you dont want to start a new thread every minute.

So you must take the moral responsibility and step down.

Not so easily Man. Our beloved friend is catching up swiftly from just 1 vote to 12 votes now. Whereas against has inched by just 1. But, its remarkable and worth appreciating that our friend has muscled up against any act of mutiny/sabotage.
Voters seems to be divided with a tough choice to make.
Yes: Those who've never been banned/moderated. Hence, they're happily enjoying being 'off the radar'...'off the hook". And in all likelihood, they have a sense of feel that they'll continue to enjoy this privilege under the able command of Dr. Saheb (by posting goody-goody here).
No: Those who've been moderated/banned without being warned (or given a chance), plus their friends who missed having them around.
Onlookers: Who haven't voted yet, but enjoying the show. They'll vote later....'go with the flow' types.
