Neelam,
I believe that hard work sud not be generalized, it more of the person/job oriented.Every one works hard let it be labor, manager,IT professionals, bussinessmen, farmers etc etc........ & even housevives to that extent, depending upon the nature of job.Lemme tell you with own exp that mental effort realy exaust you as compared to physical.

Everyone has got its own expertise/field of excellence, somewhere your physical hard work pays the dividends whereas at places it just your mental robustness work.
so as someone rightly put it hardwork is nothing to do with physical/mental efforts...........its simply hardwork

Dear friends,

We all know that everybody is working hard to get the best rewards commensurately as regarding efforts, abilities, knowledge, etc. etc......right?

Today, while conversating with some person in chaupal i noticed that the hardwork is only concerned with the labour efforts. Is it only confined to that area or aspect? That means, people want to say that others don't work hard.

But i feel that, even intelligence cannot be best utilised without efforts. And hard work can be taken in more broader sense apart from physical labour.

With this i mean to say that people are still having that same old perception that whenever anybody talk about the preference of hardwork, they simply relate it with the labour without brains. So ridiculous it sounds. Now as per this notion, we can say that brainy/creative people are putting less efforts b'coz efforts are counted in terms of physical work only.

What do you feel about the same???????

looking forward for worthy responses
Regards
Neelam

and....i also opine the same :)

so simply and clearly you said.....but just can't appreciate people showing less dignity to any kind work (whether its physical work or mental effort) which induced me to share this thought alongwith an urge to know others take-on on the same.....work appeals as per the job requirement (i stated somewhere earlier)

rest, you are 100% agreeable at your every explained word :)

Bingo..............its absolutly correct.......& as far dignity is concered its straightway related to one's persona & temprament,if someone him/herself lacks some basics quality so human tendency to cover it up.......& how we cover it up by questioning that quality in that particular individual.... & i think showing lesss or more dignity is an outcome of this only.
ya, job reqmts are always apealing & formost factor..if u like & enjoy the reqmts then all this hard work & smart work, intelligence, faith etc fall in place

so enjoy ur work(what ever your do),give your 100%...........hard work, luck & success will follow

exactly!!.....and i'm always devoted towards my work.....otherwise i can't enjoy it :) (just for sake of money, i cannot work)....but i can say like this as i've another option also unlike boys who all have to uphold the biggest responsibility (complete concern for family....monetary-wise apart from other important concerns :))

Here you have raised another important issue of devotion..........which holds the basic &very important share of this topic....

See, devotion has got a very vast meaning related to every sphere of life let it be work & relations & of course without devotion things are just worthless........u see the examples of any successful personality....devotion has played an important role in that.....coming back to topic...hardwork & devotion goes hand n gloves without putting your soul in to it the hardwork is meaninless....u cn get what you wanted or desired rewards but if you were not devoted to it....somewhere you will feel the emptyness....so the hard work (any type) has no meaning if i am not devoted towards the work watever i am doing...

yup!!....you took it right way

:)

our future joy and happiness stand

Hard work meant more work...work that's really and truly hard, not time-consuming. It's about the kind of work that requires us to push ourselves, not just punch the clock. Hard work is where our job security, our financial profit, and our future joy and happiness stand.
