"Battle of Dograi":- *Subedar Khazan Singh Dalal* who was admitted in Military Hospital Amritsar, on hearing the news of War slipped away from Hospital to join his Battalion :), he was declared absconder from Hospital :) He was awarded with "Vir Chakra" for the act of bravery and leadership during war. 3rd Battalion of Jat Regiment on 22nd September,1965(Indo-Pak War), created history which has no parallel in Military History by totally annihilating the Pakistani Army's well entrenched, numerically superior Unit in a Built Up Area. 875 Enemy soldiers were killed where 3rd Jat attacked short in strength with just 523 Soldiers. Generally Attacker-Defender ratio is considered to be 3:1.
