Bhai Sandeep, These minars are known as "Kos Minar" as described by Ravinderjeet. These Minars are at certain distances (about 3-4 Kilometer) from each other. These minars are still present at lot many places (purane raston par Jo aajkal Kheton me badal chuke hain). A Halkara (Postman at olden days) use to deliver Official mails/msgs from one Minar to another and these minars are used as rest house for halkara and for horse. These Minars not only used as milestone but also for finding the way for next minar.

These were built during Shersah Suri and Mugal Empire (under ministery of Raja TODARMAL who was minister of agricultural development and Roads for both these empires). Hope I am correct on this, If not I request historians to correct me-regards.

Manne bata toh di arr Sonipat dhore ke eeb bhi boht sa par Shersah na Jab road banwai thhi oos ta pahla bani thhi ya baad mei ees pa thoda shak sa.
