Contry counts 1st

hi Prashant,
whatever ur views are,I only have objection to a simple thing. To me and most of Jats, country is always the first love.We cant think like muslims who have objection in Vande Matram and Bharat bhagya vidhata.Jats are known for their passion and love towards the country .Thats wat they are known for and I m proud of that.

1) we r indian first than jat
2) we r jat first thn indian.
there is third side also--- we are hindus
IN first case we cannot protest about the marriage, we fools are not seeing the bigger enemies, muslims which are growing so fast and hindus are just struggling wd themselves due to caste system.

Dear All'

Iss thread se ek baat saaf hai ki hamri behno ne iss debate mein khoob bad chad kar hissa liya. Iss ke liye sabhi behne badhai ki patar hein.

Onother good thing about their participation is that they have strongly objected and expressed their veiws against the decision of the so called Mahapanchayat.

Girl goes missing after 4 days of marriage
Tribune News Service

Panipat, June 17
Poonam of Dhanana village of Sonepat district has been missing since June 9. On that day, she had gone to pay obeisance at a religious place at Gharaunda in Karnal district with her second husband, Vijender Singh.

Vijender Singh, a resident of Seinkh village in Panipat district, said Poonam and he went to pay obeisance at a “dargah” at Gharaunda on June 9 after their marriage on June 5.

“While returning home on a motor cycle, I stopped to answer the call of nature. I asked my wife to wait on the roadside and went away. When I came back, I found her missing,” said Vijender.

The family of the girl was informed the same day, but the police was informed only yesterday as the family expected that Poonam would return herself, added Vijender.

The controversy of Poonam’s marriage had hit the headlines when she was allegedly picked up by members of her community from Bhiwani. She and her first husband, Surinder of Kharkari village, had gone there to get their marriage registered. Surinder had filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court in that regard.

In his petition, Surinder pleaded that he married Poonam at a ceremony held in the girl’s village in May. Both families were present on the occasion. Leaders of the Jat community in the area were making life difficult for him and his wife as he was from the cobbler community and his wife was from a Jat family.

A mahapanchayat was scheduled to be held at Kharkari village on June 11 to decide on the fate of their marriage, but it was banned by the high court following a petition by Surinder.

Subsequently, the girl was married off to Vijender, a boy of the Jat community, on June 5.

Mr Gorakhpal Rana, SHO of the Gharaunda police station, said he had received a complaint from Vijender and the mother of Poonam was being contacted. Father of the girl, Kishan Kumar, was in the Army.

This was all expected. Sad part is that now there is no one either here on Jatland to say a word or in our so called panchayats to address the problem. How can one expect two persons who committed their lives to each other and separated by social problems to sit quite and accept the fate? Why the hell people interfere into personal problems when they can not solve any problem?

again a shameful step taken by girl......... Girls's family should be thrown out from the community....... & if any one from Jat-community keep marriage-relationship with that family in the forthcoming time those all should be punished.................GEETALOEIN ki gailla hi unka ROTTI-BETTI ka relation rehna chaiye.................................
panchayat ne uss ladke ke galle main wo kubaad bandh diya.......... uss pariwaar ka balidaan bhi vyartha gaya jinhine uss ... ladki ko apnaya that

Prashant,

let me put a hypothetical question to you. Let us suppose you become Prime Minister/ Chief Justice of India . What will do to this girl, her family and the Harijan boy who married Jat girl? Please think coolly as if you are sitting in those chairs.

Dear Mr. Mehta ,

I do not think you are a Jat , as i have never known a Mehta Jat .... so i advise you to leave our business of sorting out things with our brethren to us ....

Your interference is not welcome ...... and you participation is not required ...

Jat is not a caste , its a RACE

and to all those ignorant fools who think they are well educated and open minded and are going on about abolishing the caste system ... let me just tell you one basic thing .....

Jat is a race - Its not a caste ...................

and if you know the difference between a race and a caste .... you will know that we are indeed different from all others what ever caste they come under ..... we are an distinct ethnic group ... not just a link in the Indian caste system ..... and thus preserving the ethnicity is a completely different issue to the social equality ....
and a much more serious one for our future ...........

Educated Ignorance is more dangerous than illiteracy fuelled ignorance ... because the later on can be tackled through knowledge and enlightnment ... but the first one is incurable ,,,,,,

We have another very active Jat who is also a Mehta (Jitender Mehta). There are Jats in Rajesthan who write Mehta as their surname like there are Chopra Jats in Haryana. Surnames can be very confusing at times.

Interesting. Will you please give some scientific evidence to prove that Jat is a race and not the caste. Apart from Jats, which are other races in Haryana, Punjab, and western UP?

If Mr. Mehta is a Jat indeed ... then I withdraw my comments, and he has a right to opinion on this platform as much as me or anybody else .....

Rebuttals to "Jatt as a Caste" Theory

The biggest Misconception regarding the term "Jatt" is defining it as a "Caste" as per the standards set by the Indian Caste System. Nothing can be far away from truth as this misconception. The fact that Jatt is a Race has been widely supported by both historians and raciologists working in this field and has been discussed in detail. Here are some negations and rebuttals to the false claim that Jatt is a so called "Caste". These rebuttals have not been and cannot be negated and the truth lies in the fact that Jatt is a Race and not a Caste as traditionally thought. Here are five rebuttals that will prove this point.

Rebuttal 1) ETHNIC NATURE: If you look at the Nature of a "Caste", you will notice that its spread throughout India. Eg Caste consists of professions divided into four Categories called Varnas. The Caste System, in its present form, is further based solely upon birth. Thus, as per Caste Rules, Farmer Profession is categorized under Vaisya Category (Varna). And Remember that as per Caste SYSTEM in its present form, this is to be based upon Birth i.e. Farmer's son MUST ONLY be Farmer if Caste System has to be maintained. This point will further be used as a rebuttal in proving how Jatt is not a Caste. Now talking about Ethnicity, you will notice that Caste is not Ethnic in nature at all. Eg a Priest living in North of India will belong to a Brahmin Caste and a Priest living in South of India will also belong to Brahmin Caste. THERE IS NO ETHNIC SIMILARITY HERE. In the same way, NOTE VERY CAREFULLY that a Farmer of North India will be a Vaish and a Farmer of South of India will also be a Vaish. This Logic leads us to conclude that IF Jatt is a Caste (assuming the proposition that Jatts are Farmers) then Jatts must also be Present uniformly throughout India, (just like Brahmins) the land where Caste System is present. But observation tells us that Jatts are only present in Punjab, Haryana and parts of Uttar Pardesh. This gives an Ethnic Nature to Jatt Identity strongly proving the case that assumption "Jatt means Farmer" is false and thereby further concluding assumption that Jatt is a Caste is False too. FIRST REBUTTAL OVER.

Rebuttal 2) RACE PRESENCE: It should be noted that this discussion is yet not concerned with Historical viewpoint and raciological and archaeological study of Jatt History. Its just about rebuttals to how Jatt is not a "Caste". What it is then, is a matter of study that will be made in further papers.
Caste is present in different Races. Eg Priestly Caste Brahmins are present in South Indian Dravidian Race as well as in North Indian Races. If its assumed that Jatt is a caste, why then are there no Jatts in, lets say, Dravidian Races? Again, the Ethnic Nature Rebuttal further strengthens this point and further helps this rebuttal in making yet another point in how Jatt is not a Caste.

Rebuttal 3) FUNDAMENTALS OF CASTES: All the fundamentals, rules and regulations of Castes are goverened by Religious Law Books such as Manusmriti written by a man called Manu. All of these books are part of Hinduism, written by Hindu Mystics. Two thirds of Jatt Community does not follow Hinduism and thereby Manusmriti, that defines and regulates the basic backbone of Caste System holds no relevance for this two thirds of Jatt Community who are not Hindus but are Jatts. Yet another strong rebuttal as how Jatt is not a Caste.

Rebuttal 4) PROFESSIONAL NATURE OF CASTES: Castes are professional in nature. Though Caste System further makes it a compulsion to make it based upon birth. But Jatts can be found in just any profession: Business, Politics, Sports and so on. Proving further Jatt is Not a Caste.

Rebuttal 5) CASTE-EXCOMMUNICATION: This is yet another important point. As a punitive measure, the Caste of a person can be degraded if some pre-defined rules are not set i.e. a person who is a Brahmin can be degraded to a Shudra Caste and so on. Thus Caste follows the rule of Ex-Communication. But a Jatt born among the Jatts can, under no condition, be ex-communicated. Good or Evil, a Jatt shall always remain a Jatt.

Together, the above five points of rebuttals thereby confirm the fact without doubt that Jatt is not a Caste.
