How to avoid:
Check on the bottom of the bottle there is a triangle sign and there will be a number on it.

If the number is higher than or equal to 5 --> then this bottle is safe to use.

Whatever number under 5, will release the chemical. For most bottle water, the number is 1.

Did you know chemical released by plastic water bottles can cause cancer
(It is not the water that affecting you but the chemical releasing from the bottle) please check the attachment.

Thats the great information as well alert. To add more to this, not only plastic bottles but all kind of plastic consumed by us in any form is hazardous for health and causes cancer. In lunch boxes, the PVC plastic linings contain fairly high levels of leadead, a highly toxic element, and lead can cause severe nerve damage, especially in children. Generally hot spicy food, we get from any restaurent or dhaba packed is delivered in very low quality platic bags which is finally consumed with melted plastic, making us more prone to dignosed with severe health problems.
