Hello! Everybody,

I hope all of u ppl doin' well & celebrating Diwali!

Well, I'm Kiran Takhar, a new member here, after insisting too much
By my elder brother Jitendra, whose perhaps an active member here for a long time.

Allright, a bit about me, I'm Kiran, a sporty girl (used to be a state-level Cricketer) from Jaipur. I'm graduate in bio-sciences & also have done diploma in nursing (GNM), at the same time I'm pursuing LLB II year from govt. college, Rajasthan University Jaipur. I'm working as a full time nurse here in a pvt. Hospital for last 6 months.

I experienced one thing while working, that Nursing is not a noble job here in India, generally female nurses get exploited away n harassed too much, same thing happened to me sometimes as well but I'm quite a daring n fearless tomboy attitude Jatni, so I always take it to chin.

Well, my main reason to go for nursing is to work aboard since its counted as a quite lucrative n noble job in western countries, so after suggesting my elder sister who's in Canada, I opted for this but things r not that easier I need to take at least 1 year full time work experience, which is I'm taking right now.

I'm curious to know how many Jats from Jatland r working in this hospital mgmt n nursing field, my brother was telling me that there should be plenty of; so I'm expecting some positive responses n suggestions from experienced n elder Jat persons.

Well, before ending I want to say that I'll be visiting this place occasionally as I don't have much time.

Thanks a lot!

Best Regards,
Kiran

Welcome Kiran. You being sister of Jitendra, I can imagine what a tough person you must be. I am sure you are Kiran Bedi equivalent of Jats. Now coming to Nursing as profession in India. I quite agree with you on your observations. Reasons are many. Most nurses in India come from Kerala where there is hardly any quality control in nursing education. Honestly speaking there is hardly any nursing being done by nurses in India. Poor training is the root cause of this problem. People like you have to change the image of profession. Nurses play very dominant role in UK hospitals. Many patients are disposed of by them without consulting doctors. I see no reason why it cannot be done in India. I know, it’s not easy, but not impossible as well. Nurses waste most of their time in maintaining drug inventories in wards and spend hardly any time on patients. I have never seen a nurse offering even a glass of water to a patient, leave aside assisting him/ her to the toilet or in taking bath. No wonder most hospitals are flooded by patients' relatives. India has to go a long way in providing quality nursing care. Persons like you can turn this deficiency into opportunity. I would recommend that stick around in India and think big. Who knows, you might be the one who can change the face of nursing care in India.

Best wishes
Rajendra

Welcome kiran ! U r a tough sister of a tough brother. U must be having some tykando effect in u.

U must be enjoying beating up the patients which u cant do in those countries u r talkin bot.:D

In India there are few luxaries attached to the job which u cant exploit in completely fixed up environment of so called developed countries but yey professional satisfaction is there to an extent.

Coming to the point , nursing is the occupation in high demand here in Australia. Its better to gain experience of 2 years (better check the site www.immi.gov.au) to fulfil the visa conditions and settle down here if u want.

I think you are right that you needs to have one year work experience

Welcome Kiran

Kiran (bedi) Takhar
Jaipur.

bhai gagan , tera bhi jawab nahin!
waise judo-karate to muje nahin aate mein to apna desi hatyaar Lath kaam mein leti hoon. baki to meri awaj sunk kar hi peeche hath jaate hein.

Waise Patients to waise hi bimar hein, unki to sewa karti hoon aur waise bhi bimar, kamjor aur apne se choton par haath uthana mere usulon ke khilaf hai!

Job-satisfaction sabse jaroori hai, aur India mein quality of life achi nahin hai madhyamvargiya logon ke liye.

Australia ke baare mein thoda aur batao to acha rehega!

jai ram ji ki!

Happy Diwali!

best wishes,
Kiran.

Good pick, go for Australia or Canada. Its not just about earning money in some country , the most important thing is to have rights there.

Kiran , u r a nurse and tats what these 2 countries need in plenty. Think of getting skilled migration.

Go through their immigration sites or can go to their embassies for more info, only then u can get a complete picture. or better some good immigration agent can make u clear about the updates (they dont charge for all that)

And Ielts is a very simple straight test. Buy those British council sample papers and its done. Avoid any grammatical errors or spelling mistakes.

I can tell u the best immigration agent in Delhi who never miss anything. Truly the encyclopedia of immigration laws in Australia.
