Hi JatLand,

I am Samiksha Ranwa, a new member here.

Just signed up and completely bowled over to find so many Jats together, from all over the world, it’s simply fabulous.

A Brief introduction of me, I am Samiksha Ranwa, …basically from Jobner, Jaipur but now days studying in IITG; love music, soccer, traveling and making new friends.

Looking ahead to find some true friends here, I will be visiting this wonderful virtual home regularly.

Samiksha, Welcome at Jatland.
Your surname is Ranwa or Rinwa ? I heard about Rinwa not Ranwa.... or u changed the spelling according to numerology or something like that..... anyways nice to know about you.

Vijay "Ranwa" is a Jat gotra, I am sure, There are many people with this gotra in shekhawati area and I think "Rinwa" is brahman gotra. There is one MLA from Ratangarh (dist. Churu, Raj.) constituency, named Rajkumar Rinwa and I am sure he is brahman.

Jakhar Bhai,

Rinwa is jat gotra for sure and there are a lot of Rinwa's in Hanumangarh, Ganganagar (Rajasthan) and Abohar, Fazilka (Punjab) and in Sirsa (Haryana). Thay write Rinwa as their surname.

Head of Punjab BJP, Mr. Brij Lal Rinwa, is a jat.

There is a MLA Dr. Mohinder Kumar Rinwa from Fazilka.


I have few friends whose gotra is Rinwa and they are jats.

@ Vijay : sir, my gotra is Ranwa & all of my family members use this, never heard of Rinwa. Even in Jatland Gotra listing I found Ranwa only.

Well Samiksha,

I suppose Rinwa and Ranwa is the same gotra but with the spelling difference only.

Apart from the famous Rinwa jats i mentioned in my previous post on this thread i found another jatland member who use Rinwa instead of Ranwa and he is from Jaipur too.

Btw, my native village is just 15 kms ahead from Jobner, so ur family stays in Jaipur or Jobner??
