There is enough information in various posts on this site rearding procedures for application, requirements, estimates of expenses, chances of scholarships, and ranking of graduate programs in each field.

You will need to write GRE, TOEFL, and do well in the. I assume you have strong academic background. For selecting the universities, look at one of the post here by Sumit Dahiya, where he reproduced the entire rankings from US News and World Report.

Sir yr interest is greatly admiable.I rad many of the question-answering but i dint find a single related to my field.Sir i kow reason may be that nobody asked u ths question but u hv fair knowledge abt it and so raising a question...

Even my financial condition is also not that good and so i want surety in whatever i do think for.

Thanks for ur commendable effort.Sir I am Raman,23yrs,not an IT engineer.I have just complited my M.Sc.Ag. in Genetics and Plant Breeding(topper of the department), from CCS University Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Sir I want to do Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Genetics/Plant/Breeding from U.S.
Sir I think, you are not in this line, but Sir you may be best guide in this regard.
I am seriously looking for an option to persu my higher education in U.S.
You can help me in several ways,Sir,please do advise me in this diraction.

I am not in your field, but I can say that research in Genetics and Plant Breeding is extremely important in North America, and if you get admission to Ph.D., you will get financial assistance automatically.

As usual I suggest you write GRE and TOEFL soon. Most applications need to be completed by January 2008 for Sept. 2008 admission. I can suggest University
of Guelph, University of Saskatchewan, and University of Alberta in Canada. But, there are several top notch US universities in your field and you can select 3-5 from them depending on your GRE scores.

There is enough info on this site about graduate schools in all fields.

Raj,

There is enough info on this thread already for you. So, just follow the standard procedure - write GRE and TOEFL, and choose few places depending on your performance.

This is my second post in thread.....
I m 4 th yr Student frm IIT chennai...doing Mech B tech......

I wanna Do MBA frm TOP US college..but for tht i think one need to have very strong resume....probably excellent projects during your job...
I asked some of my frnds in US.regarding this,,,,,they told me to join company with good projects rather company with big name and large no of employees as these big company dont hav tht much good projects even if they hav good projects , u will be just a member of tht team,,,,,

Wat do u say sir??? Which one these B Schools prefer more company name or projects ???
I know different college hav different criteria.....but i m asking general opinion....

With IIT brand behind you, I think all you need is very good GMAT score, good reference letters, and your statement to get into any of the top business schools.

I also suggest you think about a good program in Finance (that will likely lead to more lucrative career) or industrial engineering.

dear sir , i take this opportunity to write to u regarding persuing study in USA/canada in a field which not very common with Indians. The curriculam is MSW ( masters in social Science or PG in Environmental Science) I am a graduate with economics ,geography and english litt. can you guide me what course i should follow. i am a student of 11th standard, presently preparing for IIT-JEE . simultaneously i want to give SAT test , so could u please tell me that are the oppurtunities better in USA OR CANADA for doing my engineering graduation?
is the pattern of SAT test is same as that of IIT?
