This is the development in pakistan over Hindu Minority.

-----

A Supreme Court order that will enable married women of the Hindu community to obtain computerised national identity cards without any hitch is welcome, said a leading Pakistani daily, also hoping that a draft Hindu marriage bill will be taken up in the upcoming session of the National Assembly.
An editorial Wednesday in the Dawn said that the Supreme Court Monday ordered the National Database and Registration Authority to take the necessary steps to enable married women of the Hindu community to obtain computerised national identity cards (CNICs) without any hitch.
The apex court took suo motu notice of the issue in 2009 after media reports on problems faced by a Hindu woman while trying to obtain a passport.
The daily observed: "Due to the lack of a proper marriage registration mechanism, Hindu women face problems not only while applying for a CNIC or passport, they are also excluded from obtaining their share of their husbands' property."
Activists claim that due to the legal lacuna "it is easy for married Hindu women to be kidnapped and forcibly converted as they lack legal documents proving their marriage to Hindu spouses".
"While the SC's intervention is welcome, it is a sad reflection on the government when the nation's top court has to step in and ensure oppressed segments of society are given their due rights," it said.
The daily said that by denying marginalised sections of the population - such as Hindu women and homeless children whose parentage is unknown - "proof of identity, the state is denying them their fundamental rights".
According to an estimate, Hindus constitute around 5.5 percent of Pakistan's over 170 million people. Of them, over 90 percent live in Sindh while the rest are in Punjab and Balochistan.
The editorial went on to say that a draft Hindu marriage bill regulating marriage and divorce for Pakistan's Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Sikh communities has been drawn up.
"Hopefully, it will be taken up in the upcoming session of the National Assembly. We hope it is passed into law soon so that minorities and others will not face legal black holes where issues such as forced conversions and procurement of identity documents are concerned.
"The state must be more active in this regard," it said.

This is how Indian govt treats Hindus from Pakistan

Many Hindu families which migrated from India are facing a piquant situation as the government has stopped extending their visas
86879_thump.jpg
hindu--555.jpg

Eighteen years after the Babri Masjid demolition at Ayodhya triggered migration of Pakistan-based Hindus to India, over 1000 families of Hindus settled in Punjab continue to live illegally, banking on Indian benevolence for guests. They do not want to go back and are now demanding either citizenship or visa extension. Settled in various parts of
Punjab, including Amritsar, Jalandhar and Rajpura, their stay in India is illegal since 2004 when the government stopped granting visa extension to these migrant families.

“We know that our stay is illegal, but we do not want to go back to Pakistan” says 70-year old Mulakh Raj. He has been living in Jalandhar with his wife and eight children since 1997 after migrating from Sialkot in Pakistan.

“There is nothing left for us in Pakistan. We feel safe and have a more dignified life in India,” he says.

Most of the families say they had decided to settle down in India as they felt insecure in Pakistan. “Hindus in Pakistan particularly felt vulnerable after the demolition of Babri Masjid in 1992. We felt very insecure as there was a spate of attacks on our religious places,” says Sardari Lal.

Buaditta Mal, who has come from Sialkot, says, “People at our native place make fun of us and interfere in our religious congregations. They even throw away idols of gods and goddesses. If we protest, they beat us up.”

Pakistani Hindus have often complained of destruction of their religious places, forced conversions and abduction of girls for forced betrothal to Muslim men. There are an estimated 25 lakh Hindus living in Pakistan according to the 1998 census which is about 2.5 per cent of that country's total population. Life is not easy for these migrants in India, though. The families face difficulties in procuring driving licence or opening bank accounts for lack of any identity.

“We are in no man’s land. We have Pakistani passports but we prefer to live in
India. But despite several appeals to the Union government, India has not granted us citizenship,” says Sardari Lal.

Sammakh Ram came from Peshawar in 1998 and settled at Jalandhar along with his family members. “You cannot imagine the plight of minorities in Pakistan. They have no rights. We will never return,” he says emphatically. Many of the migrants
allege that they are asked by the Pakistani authorities to spy for them against India.

The Punjab unit of the BJP has now taken cudgels to fight for granting citizenship status to these migrants. The party has constituted a three-member committee to take up the plight of these families with the Central government.

BJP MP Avinash Rai Khanna says the committee would prepare lists of all such Hindu migrant families living in Punjab with the help of legislators from respective areas. He says several Hindu families had been forced to convert in Pakistan.

A senior BJP minister in the Akali-BJP government, Laxmikanta Chawla has written to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh urging the Centre government to provide full protection and citizenship to Hindu and Sikh migrants from Pakistan. “Since the Pakistan government has failed to protect the minorities from frequent atrocities, the Indian government needs to look after them,” she said in the letter.

Terrorists are welcome! They are State Guests!!

70,000,000 (70 million-7 crore) illegal Bangladeshis can sneak in freely.

But 171 (28 families) HINDUS are not allowed to stay in their HINDUsthan!

% wise India can accommodate ONE illegal Muslim, but can not accommodate 0.00,000,244,257 Hindu!

In other words, for 1 Hindu wanting refuge in his own land, 4,09,356.7490852 (4 lac, 10 thousand) Bangladeshis are roaming our streets, snatching the livelihood of our own countrymen, Hindu and Muslim, and Christians, as well.

Not forgetting Kashmiri Hindus.

And, Oh, You Sickularist Hindus!

Have you no slightest compassion in your hearts?

Your Ancestors were well known for welcoming the oppressed of the world!

And you? You are a blot on their fair name.

Just look at the firm resolve, of all these men, women, and children, young and old, poor and rich, to die here, rather than change their faith!

Can you not see faces of your own Mothers, Sisters, Daughters in them?

Have you any Humane feelings left in you?

Sure, your parents must be cursing themselves, having brought you in this world, and your Ancestors shedding tears in Heavens above!

No country for Pakistani Hindus

On March 26, 19-year-old Rinkle Kumari, from a village in Sindh, told Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry that she had been abducted by aman called Naveed Shah, and pleaded with the highest court to let her return to her mother. Itwas a brave plea. Hindu women in Pakistan are routinely kidnapped and then forced to convert if they want the respectability of marriage. They are helpless, as they have neitherthe numbers nor the political clout to protect themselves. As Rinkle left the court, she screamed before journalists, accusing her captors of forcible conversion, before she was hustled away by the police.
The case grabbed headlines, generated impassioned editorials, and highlighted the cause of a persecuted community, the 3.5 million Hindus in Pakistan. It angered liberals in Pakistan and caused the Dawnnewspaper to take a strong position on persecution of minorities.
But Rinkle had dared to raise hervoice, and there would be a price to pay. Her parents in Ghotki village were threatened, her 70-year-old grandfather wasshot at, gun-toting goons roamed outside her house. When she returned to the Pakistan Supreme Court on April 18, she meekly said she had converted to Islam. At a packed media briefing in Islamabad's Press Club, with Shah by her side, the spunk in her snuffed out, she would only say she wants to become an "obedient" wife.
According to police records, each month, an average of 25 girls meet Rinkle's fate in Sindh alone, home to 90 per cent of the Hindus living in Pakistan. Young Hindu girls are 'marked', abducted, raped, and forcibly converted. Discrimination, extortion threats, killings and religious persecution are drivingthe remaining Hindus out of Pakistan. They had chosen to stay back after Partition; six decades later, they are no longerwelcome.
In India, they are facing a shock worse than catastrophe-betrayal.The Government of India refusesto recognise them as refugees and is unmoved by their plight. In its reply to activist S.C. Agrawal's RTI query on November 1, 2011, on the statusof Pakistani Hindu refugees, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) claimed it was an "internal matter'' of Pakistan. In the same reply, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) admitted that it could not say how many Pakistani Hindus had emigrated.
According to Delhi's Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), there has been a rapid increase in the number of Hindus coming from Pakistan. Tillmid-2011, it used to be around eight-ten families a month. But in the past 10 months, an estimated 400 families have come. They are settling down all over India, in Rajasthan, Punjab and Gujarat. A trickle has become a stream. Hindus, who accounted for 15 per cent of Pakistan's population in 1947, now constitute a mere 2 per cent of its 170 million population. Many have migrated, others have been killed, and yet others forced to convert to survive. In some cases, the dead have even been denied a proper cremation....

Dear Friends,

Struggle and strife continue in Pakistan where life is a formidable challenge for Hindus. Below is an article I wrote on recent issues of kidnappings and forced conversions to Islam of young Hindu girls. Comments are welcome.
