Ye hai Congress ki land acquisition Policy Haryana mei :
Land transferred for memorial of Haryana CM's father under scanner
CHANDIGARH: Acting on a petition challenging the transfer of around 42-acre land in Rohtak district of Haryana for 'Savindhan Sathal' built in the memory of Ranbir Singh Hooda, father of Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the Punjab and Haryana high court on Wednesday issued notice to the state government asking it to file a reply on contentions raised by the petitioners.
Notice was issued by a division bench headed by acting Chief Justice M M Kumar while hearing a petition filed by Sunil Kumar and eleven others of Garhi Bohar village of Rohtak district.
Petitioners have submitted that the state government had issued notification in 2008 and 2009 through which around 42 acres of land of their village was acquired but the same was transferred for 'Savindhan Sathal' in the name of Chaudhary
Ranbir Singh Hooda who is father of the state chief minister and grandfather of Rohtak MP, Deepender Hooda.
They further submitted that the land was originally acquired by the Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation (HSIDC) for developing an industrial township but later it was arbitrarily transferred for 'Savindhan Sathal'.
Alleging the action of the state government in transferring the land was illegal and with ulterior motive, the petitioners argued that it was done without following procedure.
"Apart from this, there cannot be transfer of public land in the memory of private persons and that too 42 acre of land," the petitioners argued.
Besides the state government and its concerned departments, the petitioners have impleaded the state chief minister
Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his MP son,
Deepender Singh Hooda, in person as parties in this case but the court declined to implead them.
