1. Staying in the village i came accross numerous cases where a girl child had a curable ailment but was allowed to die, to save money and to avoid bringing up a girl child.
2. There are innumerable cases where a girl child immediately after birth is given a strong dose of tobacco and she suffocates to death. This is done by ladies of the house. The case is treated as 'child died at birth'
3. Female feticide.
4. At the rape of a woman, the whole society including media shouts - uski zindagi barbaad ho gayi, uski ijjat taar taar ho gayi, wo kisiko muu dikhane laayak nahin rahi-----why? why the woman has lost everything, why not the man? the society is the biggest rapist. They will give such 'heen bhawna' to the woman that she will commit suicide.
I wonder why the malpractices in our society/community never hurt hour ego...errrrr honour i mean, at all.
