Dear Members,
I had said earlier also, that WAR should be only the last resort to solve any problem. I am amused that very senior and experienced members are thinking not only war but a nuclear strike.
To plan any operation you need to have valuable information. There are two type of information that we need to collaborate to pin point any one. Firstly the known information and secondly the revealed information. Both information when match give clear picture of the things in discussion.
It is a known information that ISI created L-E-T. It is no secret that LeT is carrying out terror ops in Indian Territory. The interrogation of Kasab has revealed the ongoing effort within Pakistan to destabilize India. It is also revealed the Islamic Fundamentalist forces within India are abating terrorism and helping outside terrorists. We know for sure SIMI is one. Apart from that there might be some non Islamic forces who are either helping or involved in helping these terrorists either their political gains or monetary benefits.
How do deal with all this complexity?
Out Side People: Pakistani elected government has an obligation to her own citizens as well as the international community to come down hard on the terror groups operation on her soil.
If Pakistan is unable to do so in a definite time frame then we need to do the same with the help of International community. It is not going to be easy for various nations will have vested interests which will be in contradiction to we attacking the terror groups in Pakistan.
There is also going to be a pitfall to the elected government with in Pakistan. This might lead to dictatorship once again in that country thereby playing into the hands of non democratic forces.
I think, we should keep our options open to make punitive strike on terror groups/camps with in Pakistan including those operating on their Western Borders. We can actively join US efforts in this mission. While we are doing so, we also need to keep an eye on our Eastern and NE borders.
We must muster international support to put economic sanctions on Pakistan. The problem is that if Pakistan does not get military aid, it might not be able to keep its nuclear arsenal safe from falling into terrorist groups. Thus any military aid to Pakistan has to be accounted for specific purpose and needs to be spent under strict supervision of the Nations fighting against terrorism.
We should keep a Naval Blockade of Pakistan to prevent any arms coming into that country from outside without our knowldege and permission. With our efforts in joining US forces in Afghanistan, we can limit the land routes to get weapons into Pakistan.
Internal Efforts.
Political: I think it might be time for our Nation to vote only National Parties. This will avoid the coilation governments at Center as well as at State Level, thereby making it easier to govern as well as pin point accountability.
Intelligence: We need to allocate sufficient funds for this and make our Intelligence Services accountable for that. Top quality officers from the Indian Armed forces to head these intelligence agencies. This will help erosion of these agencies from keeping watch on political rivals to the national security.
We need to arm our police forces with better equipment and weapons. They also need a lot of training in dealing with terrorism. Public awareness and civil defense schemes at community level would also be useful.
Deal with fundamentalist organizations which spread hatered, be it Hindu or Islamic with an Iron hand. We can't have Hindus and Muslims in our nation, all that we want is Indians. If we do it in fairness, the message will be well received by all these organizations that we mean business.
We also have to have a deeper look in our civil liberties code. How much and what would constitute the actual freedom to keep the nation safe.

Ancestors of most Pakistanis were hindu converts. But in Pakistani history books their history only begins with coming of Mohmmad Bin Qasim! Qasim is a religious figure in Pakistan and he was an Iraqi Arab! Hindu, Buddhist past of Pakistan is denied.
Nuclear war is not feasible for both countries. No one in sane mind would want nuclear war. Look what happened to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is easy to talk about having a nuke war but ask the survivors of hiroshima and nagasaki what it is in reality. With a such a great density of population as India and Pakistan have, no one will be left alive in targeted cities in case of a nuke attack. Delhi, mumbai, and other major cities will be gone just like major pakistani cities of Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad-rawalpindi. Nuke war is out of question.
International isolation of pakistan, blockade of Karachi port through which most pakistani imports pass through, Air strikes on terror camps, May be assembling some commando teams or other ways to eliminate/kidnap terror leaders just like on the pattern of Israelis, breaking all contacts with Pakistan are some sane and less risky options. But one has to do them within a timeframe. People's memories are short.

I also suggest compulsory military service for every able Indian for a period of 2 years. I believe South korea, Israel do that. May be begining right after a certain age like 21. Complete firearms, fightning skills, complete military training. I also suggest certain firearms be made legal and people allowed to purchase them after appropriate checks.
Also such divisive organizations like Shiv Sena should be banned by law. People like Raj thackersay, Narendra Modi and others should be put into prison. No one should be above the law.

Need to have an exremely close working military relationship with US while keeping extremely good diplomatic relations with Russia, and the Middle Eastern Countries.

During her last tenure as CM she used almost 70 Carore rupees for Mr. Ambedkar's Statues all over the state. I guess this money could have been better used to provide some good weapons to portion of UP Police.
And on her birth day a lot of money would be collected for the Bahinji, by all your elected representatives. How about doing some thing at home to prevent such practices.
Also Devband is not far from your location. What is happening there? I passed through that town few years ago, it looked to me some town of Middle East. We need to get all Madarsa's closed in the country. Religious Education should be done only at home and not as an organized activity.

What is happening in UP is most shameful. Opposing such acts can not be left only to political parties. Common people have to come in street to oppose such acts. Killing of one boy in Greece has brought the whole nation to halt. Only way to save India and make her strong is that public comes in steets. There is no doubt that we need to clean India before we can fight Jihadis. Gunda elements have penetrated every political party in India. Paries like SP, BSP, MNS etc are all mafias and no different than Jihadis.

Pakistan right now is a very volatile country. I don't think the Government has a full control over either its military or its frontiers. Only Punjab Province is not Pakistan.
They have to have a hate propaganda going to keep people busy and diverted from the real life problem of poverty, lack of infrastructure and off course the poor economy.
We don't have to get diverted by what they are doing in their own country. What we need to do is to have a will to carry out surgical operations against the Terrorists. Keep the Pakistanis on their toes till the time they ensure that no terrorist camp remains in that country. It is not India's war against Pakistan, but the Global War against Pakistan's historical involvement in helping terror organizations.
