I am unable to delete some files from Temp folder. Msg shown that the file is being used by other program but actually there is no running program on dekstop.

Pls tell me how to delete those files.:):)

Vivek, when we run some application some temp files are created and they remain still 'in use' even if we close that application.

So, best method to delete the temp files is that when we start our system or just reboot for some reason clean the temp files folder before running any application. It will work. :)

And if this also doesn't work, then reboot your system in 'safe mode' and then delete!!

Sometimes Antivirus(mainly Norton) also creates this problem. It keeps some files( cookies or trojan) for quarntine (as it is not able to delete those files), So it won't let you to delete those files. So you can try this thing also. Exit antivirus and then delete.

hello vivek start your system in safe mode & than delete those files.......

CleanUp
The simplest and the easiest way is to download, install and run CleanUp......you would love this 'small' programme once you start using it!

really good tokas ji

it Covers your tracks on the Internet. CleanUp! deletes traces of you Internet activity that get stored on your hard disk. These things include:

Browser cache
Browser History
Cookies
Bookmarks and Favorites. Deletion of these is optional and disabled by default.

it also
Removes Windows files tracking your use of the computer. This includes things such as:

Removing "MRU lists" (storing a list of your Most Recently Used files) for various applications
Emptying the Recent Documents folder
Deleting entries from the Run and Find Computer dialogs
Emptying Recycle Bins
Emptying various temporary folders
Removing unneeded registry entries
Optionally resetting the high scores for Windows games;
And more.
