IIT = अमेरिकेन इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ टेक्नेलोजी ---Confused ?
मैं यहाँ इंडियन इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ टेक्नोलोजी की सत्यता के बारे में आप लोगों को बताऊँगा |
IIT का मतलब जानते हैं आप, "अमेरिकेन इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ टेक्नेलोजी" या फिर "यूरोपियन इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ टेक्नेलोजी" | जी हाँ आप सही सुन रहे हैं ये मैंने बहुत सोच समझ के लिखा | अभी IIT का सीज़न चल रहा है, इसलिए ये करेंट इश्यू है | आप ये अवश्य जाने कि हमारे देश के राजनेता कैसे हमारे देश को बेच रहे हैं तथाकथित स्वतंत्रता के समय से ही |

अमेरिका ने और यूरोप के देशों ने अपने यहाँ के ब्रेन ड्रेन को रोकने के लिए तमाम तरह के नियम बनाए हैं और उनके यहाँ अलग अलग देशों में अलग अलग कानून हैं कि कैसे अपने देश की प्रतिभाओं को बाहर जाने से रोका जाये | उधर अधिकांश देशों में ये परंपरा है कि आपको यदि विदेश जाना है तो फ़ौज की सर्विस करनी पड़ेगी | सीधा सा अर्थ ये है कि आपको बाहर नहीं जाना है | और उन देशो में ये गोल्डेन रुल है कि यदि उनके यहाँ सरप्लस में ऐसे लोग होंगे तो ही उनको बाहर जाने के लिए सोचा जायेगा | और दूसरी ओर तीसरी दुनिया (3rd World Countries ) मे जो सबसे बेस्ट ब्रेन है उन्हें सस्ते दाम मे खरीदने के लिए उन्होने दूसरे नियम भी बनाए | हमारे देश का क्रीम उन्हे सस्ते दाम मे मिल सके इसके लिए हमारे यहाँ IIT खोले गये | ये जो IIT खड़े हुए हैं हमारे देश मे वो एक अमेरिकी योजना के तहत हुई थी | हमारे देश का क्रीम उन्हे सस्ते दाम मे मिल सके इसके लिए अमेरिका ने एक योजना के तहत आर्थिक सहायता दी थी IIT खोलने के लिए | आप पूछेंगे कि अमेरिका हमारे यहाँ IIT खोलने के लिए पैसा क्यों लगाएगा, वो अपने यहाँ ऐसे इन्स्टिट्यूशन नहीं खोल लेगा ? क्यों नहीं खोल लेगा बिलकुल खोल लेगा परन्तु वैसे इन्स्टिट्यूट से इंजिनियर पैदा करने मे उसे जो कॉस्ट आएगा उसके 1/6 कॉस्ट मे वो यहाँ से इंजिनियर तैयार कर लेगा. और उसका माइंडसेट ऐसा फिक्स कर दिया जाता है कि वो केवल अमेरिका/यूरोप की तरफ देखता है. IITs मे जो सिलेबस पढाया जाता है वो अमेरिका के हिसाब से तैयार होता है. कभी ये देश के अंदर एप्लीकेशन की कोशिश करें तो 10 से 20% ही इस देश के काम का होगा शेष 80% अमेरिका/यूरोप के हिसाब से होगा | अर्थात कि ये पहले से ही व्यवस्था होती है की हमारे स्टूडेंट अमेरिका जाएँ | ये सारी की सारी सब्सिडी अमेरिका की तरफ से हमारे IITs को मिलती है नहीं तो IIT से बी.टेक. करना इतना सस्ता नहीं होता | इस तरह से हमारा हर साल ब्रेन ड्रेन से 25 अरब डॉलर का नुकसान होता है और अमेरिका को अपने देश की तुलना मे इन्जिनिअर्स 1/3 सस्ते दाम मे मिल जाते हैं. क्यों कि हमारा 'स्टुपिड मस्तिष्क' बहुत शीघ्र डॉलर्स को रूपये मे कन्वर्ट करता है | इस प्रकार से अमेरिका हर साल अपना 150-200 अरब डॉलर बचाता है. और हम…………………. अब आप कहेंगे कि हम क्यों नहीं ब्रेन ड्रेन रोकने के लिए क़ानून बनाते हैं तो हमारे पॉलिटीशियन को भय है कि जो रिश्वत उन्हे हर वर्ष मिलती है वो बंद हो जायेगी और IIT को जो अमेरिकन फंड मिलता है वो भी रोक दिया जाएगा | अमेरिका को घाटा ये हुआ है कि उसके इंटेलेक्ट मे काफ़ी कमी आई है पिछले 25 सालों मे | आप अमेरिकन यूनिवर्सिटीस के टॉपर्स की लिस्ट उठा के देखेंगे तो वहाँ टॉपर या तो एशियन्स हो रहे हैं या लैटिन अमेरिकन | खैर अमेरिका से हमे तो कुछ लेना है नहीं | और अब ये हो रहा है कि वहाँ भी बिहारी और मराठी वाली बात हो गयी है मतलब वो अब एशियन ब्लॉक के इंटेलेक्ट का विरोध करने लगे हैं |
अमेरिका मे एशियन ब्लॉक के लोगों को हमेशा 2nd या 3rd ग्रेड सिटिज़न के तौर पर ही ट्रीट किया जाता है | हम यहाँ बहुत प्रसन्न होते हैं कि कोई इंडियन इस पोस्ट पर है या उस पोस्ट पर है परन्तु पर्दे के पीछे की कहानी कुछ और होती है | हमारे यहाँ के लोग कितने ही इंटेलेक्ट हो या कितने ही बेसिक रिसर्च का काम किए हो परन्तु उनको कभी भी Higher Authority नहीं बनाया जाता है वहां अर्थात उनका बॉस सदैव अमेरिकन ही रहेगा चाहे वो कितना ही डफर क्यों ना हो | आनंद मोहन चक्रवर्ती का क्या हाल हुआ सब को मालूम होगा, पहले वो यहाँ CSIR मे काम करते थे, अमेरिका मे बहुत शीघ्र बहुत नाम कमाया पर जिस स्टेज पर उन्हे पहुचना चाहिए था वहाँ नहीं पहुच पाए, हरगोबिन्द खुराना को कौन नहीं जानता आपको भी याद होंगे, उनको भी कभी अपने इन्स्टिट्यूट का डाइरेक्टर नहीं बनाया गया | ऐसे बहुत से भारतीय हैं, इन बेस्ट क्रीम्स के बाहर चले जाने से हमे क्या घाटा होता है, जानते हैं आप, हम फंडामेंटल रिसर्च मे बहुत पीछे चले जाते हैं, जब तक हमारे देश मे बेसिक रिसर्च नहीं होगी तो हम अप्लाइड फील्ड मे कुछ नहीं कर सकते हैं, सिवाए दूसरों की नकल करने के | अर्थात हमारा सर्वनाश ही सर्वनाश और अमेरिका और यूरोप को लाभ ही लाभ |
सबसे बड़ी बात क्या है, हमारे देश मे सबसे बड़ा स्किल्ड मेन पावर है चीन के बाद, हमारे पास 65 हज़ार साइंटिस्ट्स हैं, संसार के सबसे अधिक इंजिनियरिंग कोलेज हमारे देश मे हैं, अमेरिका से 4-5 गुना अधिक इंजिनियरिंग कॉलेज हैं भारत मे, अमेरिका से अधिक हाई-टेक रिसर्च इन्स्टिट्यूट हैं भारत मे, अमेरिका से अधिक मेडिकल कॉलेज हैं भारत मे, हमारे यहाँ पॉलिटेक्निक, ITI की संख्या अधिक है, नॅशनल लॅबोरेटरीस 44 से अधिक हैं जो CSIR के कंट्रोल मे हैं, इतना सब कुछ होते हुए भी हम क्यों फेलिअर हैं? हम क्यों नहीं नोबेल लौरिअत पैदा कर पाते? हमारी सबसे बड़ी कमी क्या है कि हम किसी भी आदमी को उसके डिग्री या पोस्ट से मापते हैं | हमारा सारा एजुकेशन सिस्टम डिग्री के खेल मे फँसा हुआ है इसलिए कई बार बिना डिग्री के साइंटिस्ट्स हमारे पास होते हुए भी हम उनकी वॅल्यू नहीं कर पाते. जहाँ नोबेल लौरिअत पैदा हो रहे हैं वहाँ का एजुकेशन सिस्टम पूरी तरह डिग्री से बाहर है | हमारे यहाँ जो एजुकेशन सिस्टम है वो अँग्रेज़ों के ज़माने का है उन्होने ही डिग्री और इंटेलेक्ट को जोड़ कर हमारे सारे टेक्नोलॉजिकल इनफ्रास्ट्रक्चर सिस्टम को बर्बाद कर दिया. अँग्रेज़ों के ज़माने मे ये नियम था कि यदि आप उनके इन्स्टिट्यूशन से डिग्री ले कर नहीं निकले हैं तो आपका रेकग्निशन नहीं होगा | चूंकि उनके इन्स्टिट्यूट से कोई डिग्री लेता नहीं था तो उनका रेकग्निशन नहीं होता था. बाद मे ये प्रारंभ हुआ और आप देखते होंगे कि हमारे यहाँ बहुत से बैरिस्टर हुए उस ज़माने मे | उनके टेक्निकल इनस्टिट्यूट्स मे अगर आप चले जाएँ डिग्री लेने के लिए तो पढाई ऐसी होती थी कि आप कोई बेसिक रिसर्च नहीं कर सकते थे, और इन्स्टिट्यूट से बाहर रह के रिसर्च कर सकते हैं तो आपके पास डिग्री नहीं होगी और आपके पास डिग्री नहीं है तो आपका रेकग्निशन नहीं है | हमारे देश में बहुत सारे उच्च शिक्षा के केंद्र रहे 1840 -1850 तक परन्तु अंग्रेजों की नीतियों कारण से सब की सब समाप्त हो गयी और हमारे देश में किसी भी शासक ने इसे पुनर्स्थापित करने का नहीं सोचा | और उन Higher Learning Institutes में ऐसे ऐसे विषय पढाये जाते थे जो आज भी भारत में तो कम से कम नहीं ही पढाया जाता है |

भाई, पढ़ के बहुत स्वाद आया. किन्तु, आप सीआईए की साज़िश का ज़िक्र करना तो भूल ही गए!

Bhai, aajkal ke haalat to ye hee hai .. har engineer 10-12 hrs kaam karta hai; wo bhi India me, ebb yaha bhi is tarah sataya jaaye koi IITian to bahar jaake isi satane me jyada kamane me fayada hi mehsoos karega.

Ek aur baat, DRDO and ISRO aate to hai IITs me, but package ke maamle me bahut peechhe hai, jab ye neta apne hi ghar bharate rahenge to IITian bahar hi jayenge na... Indian Govt sector kabhi bhi competition me nahi rehta MNCs ke !!

Aur inke Test me pata nahi kya kya aata hai,, even jo IITs me padhaya jaata hai wo bhi kabhi poora kaam nahi aata .. :)
 
Positive side :

1. Not all of the people who pass out from IITs go abroad. Many of them work in India only. I have many of them working in my company - which is Indian.

2. Even if say 50% of them go abroad - dont forget that not all of them get settled there. At least half of them come back to India with huge Dollar reserves in their pocket. Dont you think that this helps their families doing better than what they were earlier....... Further those who stay back and get settled in US etc.... I have seen that many of them still invest in India...

Effectively not more than 10% of IITians are drained forever.

Aur haan, Instead of cursing IITs or why they were opened etc..... better think of ways these grads can be given good opportunities by Indian govt........... Apni company shuru karne ke liye 10 lakh ka loan dewan mein 6 mahiney laga dein sein Indian public sector bank............!!!

Well said bhai saab,
adding few more.. the concept of brain drain is old n out of vogue now.. Rajiv Gandhi had coined a new term for foreign job seekers as "Brain Gain" . NIA of nation( Net Income from Abroad) has a major share from these people. I may stay in US but will send major chunk of the money i earn , back home in India.
Now most out of the people who go abroad at initial stage of their career as destined to come back and that too with a better skill set. The skill they learn abroad can now be used in national growth process. Examples are D.B. Naoroji, M.K. Gandhi (Who learnt nationalism in SA) and many more.
3rd : The Indian production sector has sufficient skilled workers ( IITans included) , so the people moving out of India do not cause any harm to domestic growth process, instead they help in creating local jobs for them who can not move abroad. Guess what will the level of unemployment if all NRIs come back and work in India.
4th : The working class of any nation has a direct influence on its legislature, be it India or USA. More Indians in any foreign country means better relations with that country. For example many people moved to USA to work and have taken citizenship there, now they are participating in legislature of the country making the atmosphere better for Indo-US relations.
5th : Indians working abroad help in narrowing the technological gap . Most prevalent examples are South Indians and Punjabis. who have brought home the better technology while being abroad.
 
We need more and more institutions like IITs in India. There is nothing to panic because of emigration of IITians and other professionals as India has sufficient buffer stock of technocrats to cater to the indigenous requirement. Therefore, It is in the interest of our country, if more and more people go abroad and seek employment there. It will help in easing out pressure on the domestic employment sector; in addition to contributing to our foreign exchange reserves which is one of the most important ingredients of any economy. It is a wrong perception that India is loosing out its best brains because of IITs and that our professionals are exploited abroad. In fact, the scenario of exploitation is worse in India.

All good points raised in last few posts. But I don't think the sort of outright lies in the first post (guess one of those crappy forwards?) deserve any kind of debate.

घनी सारी बात बता दी कई bhaiyan ने उपरली पोस्टl में ..!!
बाकि आपने बेरा ए होगा के इंडिया में तनखा मिलती है पूरी 10000 -15000 वो बी किसे अच्छी कंपनी में...तो छोटी मोटी कंपनी का हिसाब ला ल्यो के होगा...कई लोग देखे है मन्ने जो technical होते हुए बी १०-१२ साल बाद १८-२० हज़ार पे ही अटके हुए हैं,,कोई स्कोप नी ग्रोथ का और न ही इन्क्रीमेंट का ...!!
बढ़िया है किते बहार जा के कीमे पिसा कमा ले और फेर इंडिया में बस जावे...
 
V P Singh ji I agree with you.Brain drain is not a problem now(forget 80's-90's).In fact current scenario is of Reverse Brain Drain.

Where IIT's failed:
IIT's started as technical institute.Still same condion.none of the IIT start research beyond engineering.Only IISc is a bit ahead.Look at MIT courses and research.MIT also started as a institute of technology.But later they start research in Humanities,Social Science,Art,Health Science,Medical Science etc.
