Here is a very interesting article written on India by an outsider;

I feel article is very balanced. More and more such articles are appearing in international press on India. Unfortunately we Indians see the glass half emptywehere as outsiders see the glass as half full. There is no reason India is on right course and future is fairly bright for all of us and hopefully for our next generations.

Dear RK
Thankx it was quite interesting
Moving further after reading your link.
While watching Times CNN media service, found a very interesting artical. Would like to share with great Jatlanders.

Regards

I read this article. Many such articles were published on 60 years of Indian independence. There is no doubt that India is on move on almost every front. However, this development has to permeate into the rural areas. Its not that the enterpreuners don't want to invest into rural areas, there is a real shortage of trained manpower. I can tell that with my own experience. Education needs big investiment, else we won't have have enough manpower even in cities. Situation is going to be like, " water all around but not a drop to drink". WE have large population but not enough workers. Big issue is going to be how to convert these hands into trained hands ?Just to let you all know that as of now there is massive shortage of nurses, paramedical staff and doctors to reach rural areas. However, I am very hopeful that when competition in urban areas heats up to very high degree, business houses will run towards rural areas. Market forces will play their role...

Its true that India is shining but our eyes are not looking at the other side of the coin .
The way green fields are being changed into concrete jungles is going to affect our environment as well as our finances in the long run.India has been a self sufficient country in food products since a long time but as agricultural land is vanishing fast in the name of housing ,it can be disastrous in future.
Farmers have got loads of money by selling their land but they do not know how to use it. Some of them have put their money in the banks and a few of them have bought land at other places,bought houses in towns and cities and have admitted their children in good schools but most of them are spending it on buying and changing the latest models of vehicles and other gadgets. Curse of drinking is always there. It won't take long to finish everything .There is no effort from anyone to tell them how to multiply their wealth and keep it for the future generations. The government should come forward with some practical plans to educate these people.If something is not done on time the day is not far when our youth (mostly jats as they are the landowners)will be taken into crime.
