disappointing to see the one-sided and extremists view in support of one party, and admonishing anyone who daresay anything different to voice opinions, regardless of how balanced it is.
so much for free and open-minded discussions.
BJP maybe not be godsent, and and congress is not all corrupt leeches preying upon the masses.this is the typical behaviour in most current affair threads condemning anyone who is anti-BJP and expose their...dare I say.. flaws

thought there is freedom of speech here...alas , the mob mentality still persists

Democratic values and Jatland behaviour are miles apart and that, perhaps, makes our community 'the most hated community on the planet Earth'. But much to my chagrin, some self-proclaimed custodians of community & its culture are hell-bent to perpetuate this legacy for generations to come. Nothing can be done as majority opinion (silent or vocal) is with them willingly or under duress, whatever.

Self-righteousness, rudeness and stubbornness are strongly embedded in our value system.

Shikha Ji, though many people over here don't like Congress, but mostly of them don't like BJP too. Well, I support BJP for their Hindutva agenda.:)
 
CD on Bhushans was tempered with by Chidu!

CD about IAC activist and lawyer Shanti Bhushan and Mulayam Singh was tempered with, it has been established by the Chandigarh Forensic lab. A wrong report from Delhi forensic lab was used to malign Mr. Bhushan. The report given on an RTI application was fake and original report from Chandigarh lab was not given. This all happened on Chidu's behalf, says Prashant Bhushan, son of Shanti Bhushan.

This incient tells you how the govt. was trying to stop IAC activities, tried to demonize the activists and it goes on with Kiran Bedi, Arvind Kejriwal and many others.

Wondering how did this Chandigarh CFSL report lived for 8 months to be released now. Obviously, this 'black' government had enough resources to destroy or fabricate (the report) it.

BJP standing alone for a stronger lokpal!

Lalu Yadav and Mulayam Yadav opposed the lokpal bill introduced by the govt. They said that this lokpal is too strong and any SP, DM, policeman can throw in jail if this bill is passed by parliament. They do not want to give this much power to lokpal. On the other side, BJP says it needs a much more stronger lokpal and wants CBI under lokpal too.

Congress has cleared it's stand with introducing lokpal without CBI and group C employees under it. So, it tells us that only BJP is favouring a stronger lokpal.
 
Their fears are true. SP, DM hi kya junta bhi avashya pitegi majboot lokpal aaney par. What is funny that these people are scared for the first time in media. Before the lokpal, only common people knew the meaning of fear. Even the incidents like pawar slapping scares them nowadays. Why is that none of the politicians have presented any suggestions to improve the lokpal? What people want n what politicians want to implement have vast differences. With all the crooked lawyer ministers working those sleepless nights PM talked about, let us see what we get :).
 
Now, these scared people bring the reservation issue to stall the proceedings. It is a tactics by the govt. too which first included and then removed minority quota issue in the bill. It gave new weapon to these opportunists.

Will we be able to do away with this reservation ever?
 
आरजेडी सुप्रीमो लालू प्रसाद यादव और समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता मुलायम सिंह यादव लोकपाल विधेयक से भयभीत लग रहे हैं. उनका मानना है कि लोकपाल को अधिकार संपन्न बनाने का अर्थ होगा दारोगा को शक्तिसंपन्न बनाना. इन दोनों को भय है कि कहीं इन्हें दारोगा परेशान न करने लगे और वे आम व्यक्ति की कैटिगरी में न आ जाएं. कहीं उन्हें भी आम लोगों की पंक्ति में न खड़ा होना पड़े. कहीं उनके साथ भी कानून उसी तरह पेश न आए जैसे अभी साधारण नागरिकों के साथ पेश आता है. ये दोनों अपना विशेषाधिकार खोने से भयभीत हैं. अभी इन्हें लगता है कि वे ही इस व्यवस्था के नियंता हैं. वे जिस तरह चीजों को चलाएंगे चीजें वैसी ही चलेंगी. अब यह अलग बात है कि वे समाजवाद और सामाजिक न्याय की बात करते रहते हैं. परन्तु यह सब दूसरों के लिए है, स्वयं के लिए नहीं.​

A proper diagnosis is pre-requisite for treatment of any malaise. Even if, the author did not hint to any prescription, it was a perfect diagnosis, for which he deserves praise, especially when he is working with a newspaper which is known for its political leaning towards a particular ideology. He took all care not to let his comments shrouded in his political prejudices whatsoever.
