cricket is even worse... football is pathetic ...such a huge population... talent also.... but thanx 2 our politicians.

I think the glory days of Indian Hockey would come back in near future. And moreover I think its not the politicians but the popularity of the game in general. I don't think we're producing a big pool of talent.

cricket is glamerous game and perint media and electornic media is responsible for that.but for hockey this media has done nothing. if we see the selectors for both cricket and hockey ,there are some similarties in that.according to me hockey selectors are better than cricket selectors at least they know how to play the game but regonal baising is a big hurdle for selection a better team otherwise talant KI KAMI NAHI HAI

Multinational companies are responsiable for this

cricket or hockey me multinational companies ke ane se dono ka hal kharab
hogaya hockey ko gill le betha gill ke anusar hocky me sare sardar hone chahiye dhanard pilley ko team me se nikalwane me gill ka hee hath hai
ye sahi hai kee punjab ke khiladi hee ab tak hocky me jyada popular rahe hai jaise harmeek singh, prakat singh, surjeet singh etc. par bahar ke khiladiyo
ka bhee kam yodgaan nahi raha hai jaffar iquabal, dhanraj pillay jaise or
bhee bhoot se khiladee hai bahar ke par gill ne apnee chalayee.

pahale hockey me paisa nahi tha ab sahara kee sponsarship ajaane se
hockey kee bhee doordasha cricket jaisee hee hone wali hai.

netra.......................

With due respect, mere hisaab se sponsorship aane se kisi bh khel ka fayda hua hai nuksaan nahin. Agar sponsorship na ho to jitne khilaadi abhi indian hockey main hain vo bhi bhookhe mar jaayein.
The thing thats alarming is the larger than life image of players even which is acceptable if somebody has done enough for the country eg. sachin.

Sangwan
