In the above thread we discussed whether a relation is more important or the tag attached to it. Well, what I see here is that people are more concerned with the tags ! They want their relation to be nicely packed even if the inner content is just a deadlock !

They want a marriage to be within caste & blah blah ..... but what does marriage means and what it is for is abruptly overlooked..... anyways everyone is free to follow his whims & instincts - marry for society or marry for themselves - is just a personal choice though pragmatism is obviously in marrying for marrying and as an obligation !

I'm totally agree with Ms. Shweta regarding the actual meaning of mariage. Sometimes, as Shweta said Tag is more important than the relatinship. This is a cruel fact of Indian Society. Many patners, specially have to continue their marriage for the sake of society, their parents & relatives who pressurise them in the name of their social status.I know few of my female friends who r going through this.

Any way it is everybody personal view that matters.

atleast i can talk about myself who expressed all in favour of intra-caste marriage not b'coz of any kind pressure or submissiveness but by choice calculated on my own and i give first preference to the person not the tag....i find many good hearts here in our community, therefore till now no need was felt to go outside

Both these sentences are contrary Neelam.
Why dont you start your search based on the person and not the community then?
If you are talking about starting your search from a specific community this itself is attaching a tag :)

Anyways, it happens ! Solely your wish dear .... I am aint saying there is something wrong in this, but atleast we must not be too rigid in this regards.

intercaste marriage

Soory, dhaka ji i am not in the favour of intercaste marriage becoz scientificaly every person has diff genes code, wht the get from thr perents.and these traits r the identification of every individual.

and if a brahaman marry a jat...thn wht wll u call there childreen ...a jat or bhrmn...or fusion...wll u allow tht child to b a part of this community......confusion...thn favour intracaste marrge...and save jat's identity...

अब्जै राम राम... भाई तोमर. :)

जाटलैंड पर आपका हार्दिक स्वागत है.
:)

Mr. Tomar.....Why don't you go for experiment? Ek hi gene se hamesha ki tarah ek hi tarah ke Jat janam latey rahenge. Jat - Bharmin , Baniya - Brahmin, Jat kisi bhi caste ke saath marriage karey.....koi farak nahi padta hai.

Insaan sab ek jaise hai, kahin agar koi difference hai to vo hai....culture ka, morales ka, values ka, Traditions ka, Language ka, Thinking ka, background ka or priorities ka.

Agar kisi Jat ko lagta hai ki Kisi or Religion ya caste ya community ke ladke ya ladki ke saath uski patri kha rahi hai to kisi ko koi issue nahi hona chahiye.....

Aap jat, baniya , brahmin, chamar, rajput ya koi bhi apne karm se hotey ho na ki apne family se. Jaato ke yahan bhi ek se ek gadhey hotey hai or chamaro mey bhi ek se ek honorable or respected personalities hotey hai.

very gud Bhai tomar uthao Jhanda hum tumare sath hain.......

Mujhe lag raha hai is aandolan ki kaman aapko hi sambhal ni padegi .. jat indentity bachane ke liye itna to kar hi sakti ho ...
Sorry ! Jiski jarurat na ho wo andolan mai nahi karti  ....... aur jiski jarurat ho uski kamaan sambhaalne ka wait bhi mai nahi karti .... :D

Quite possible that you see your identity endangered, but I feel myself safe & sound ;)

Fir tum apne naam ke aage se dhaka hata kyon nahi dete ...isse dikhta hai ki aap ek kattar jat hain...... aur waise bhi ab to koi nya sir name mil gya hoga..???

what genes r u talking about? is there any proof of specific jat genes?
blood sabka ek hi jaise hota hai, usme haemoglobin, WBC, RBC ke alaawa kuch nahi hota. sari baat culture, environment, upbringing ki. baki saara hamare dimaag ka veham hai.

Dhaka lagaane se meri qualities/traits/behavior ka pata chalta hai? ..... Aap to pandit ho gaye :D ............. and for your kind information, suffixing husband's name after marriage is purely customary and is nowhere a statutory requirement and we both are comfortable with my present name  hope this will not cause diabetes to you

mere kai friend Dhaka hain.. aur saare bahaut ki katter jat hain.. is liye kah raha hun... ho sakta hai aap apwad hon....lekin dhakaon ke baare main meri rai ye hi hai ki wo apni jati ke naam per marne mitne ko tyaar rahte hain.
Aur rahi baat suffixing husband`s name to aap sociaty main apne husband ke naam se jani jayengi.. humesha Mrs wo and Mrs wo...aapke husband ko koi nahi kahega Mr dhaka ya Mr..... mera matalab sirf aapse nahi hai otherwise mat lena....

Do you think being 'kattar' means being on one's toes to prove it every now & then leaving all other sensible things aside ........ does this means to be hyper and ever-ready to knock down someone's head

What do you mean by 'kattar' ?

And if its what you mean then its a really pathetic thing to be

And if you are talking about taking pride in being a 'Jat' then listen to me carefully please !

Take a simple example :

Someone comes and say to your mother without any reason "lady ! you dont love your son ! "

Then there can be three ways out for your mother to do :

1- She can take hold of a flower pot/any such thing and hit him hard on his head and say "You rascal, how dare you say that ! I love my son and I will kill you if you say that again"

2- She can use foul words and insult the person the way she can.

3- She can just smile and stay mum or can say "Really ! (laughingly)let it be then my son"

You regard the 1st reaction as being 'kattar' and I see the 3rd one as being 'kattar' ! So, I am kattar if I go by my definition & an 'apwaad' if I go by your definition !

Simple !

well, i know the example was wierd but Jats do fight on such thing and at times such petty issues can cause generation old rivalries !
:o

So, mai marne ko nahi jeene ko tayaar rehti hoon aur fir bhi kattar hu - ache waali kattar - aur ye waala kattar hona kaafi mushkil hai har kisi ke bas ka nahi hai !:(

egggzaactlyyyy :)
and wat is this about FIND or SEARCH!!!(findin nemo:rolleyes:)
i mean usually we don't precisely look for future/husband or wife but eventually find/met someone:thappad in our friends(or wat we call it...yeah gal friends!!) and as we don't have this caste criteria for being friends(atleast i don't!!), we end up loving someone who may or may not be from same caste, so, i guess then all precautions fail eventually :D

Of course my answer is first one .....this character reflects the Jat Character.... .. 99% jat will do like this... Aur wo fir kisise aisa stupid question nahi puchhegi..aur jat se to bikul nahi... so problem solved for ever.

Sabhi log kisi na kisi jati se belong karte hain aur sub apni caste ke liye katter bhi hote hain....aisa nahi hai koi brahman apni jati ko prefrence nahi deta.. ..but third one jo hai panditon ka character hai .... agar usne aisa answer diya wo fir dubara se puchhegi kisi aur se.... problem still there...
