well i exchanged some of my views with a jatland member who said that "beauty is a curse" as it attracts unwanted attraction!! i dont believe is this argument. i will post the same argument which i wrote to that freind.

beauty is a kind of non-violence bcoz when u see something beautiful ur mind becomes relax and u feel light and cheerful. Let the beauty be in flowers, mountains, rivers , clothes n face or anything under the sun..it can be any thing. I give a high regard to human beauty especially women and believe that, to spread love, peace and harmony among us GOD made women beautiful.
At the same moment looking ugly is violence bcoz it hurts u psychologically. If u think at that far extent then trust me u will feel g8 that u can b a reason to make someone happy.
If someone bothers u in any way bcoz of ur beauty it doesn’t mean that u will start taking it as a curse. If some day u have a bad stomach I m sure u wount stop eating or ur other regular stuff n start thinking man think man this stom suzz…
If bad people cant change the nature which is to b bad than why do u wanna change ur nature (which I hope I positive). I know experience plays a major role in forming attitude but we just cant b negative. Past is fact but future can b changed.

NOTE some of my views are inspired from Gandhi n Tagore...no plagiarism.

Pretty girls realize from a very young age that they are treated differently. They are not punished as hard, or people look the other way at their mischief...calling their antics cute and such.

When they turn into young women, they realize that men practically eat from their hand, and that they can, and some do to manipulate men for whatever they please (That's why some mom's don't want a very pretty daughter -in-law as she fears that she will lose control of her son to the wife...in the traditional indian society)

Some of these girls fail to develop their personalities and place a lot of their self worth in their beauty...as they realize that its their beauty that has got them what they want.

As these beauties age and start to lose their looks (even Elizabeth Taylor looks a mess now), most become a mental case as they feel they are losing what they valued so much, and that they have no control over it. Some become 'drama' queens, others go for plastic surgery...others have affairs, to validate to themselves that they are still pretty. Most of the stunning beauties have psychological problem during a phase in their late 30's or 40's when they realize that what they valued so much is gone, and no one pays attention to them anymore.

Beauty can be a curse for a women, because society tends to place so much value to it, and time will always take it away. Pretty girls who develop a personality and have achievements are not affected by its loss as much, but their is little motivation for them to do so, as they can easily get what they want with a smile.

Even on this board, you have all these people, PMing Sonali, and wanting to be their 'friends'....but I doubt other women on the board who were not percieved to be as pretty got this much attention, even though their posts had much more substance than merely trying to speak 'haryanvi'.

every level of intellect, knowledge and interaction is significant in building up the entirity of our existence.
It is not important(in fact it is insignificant) how different people react to different things. What is important is 'How you want to react' and 'whether you actually are able to react the way you want to'.
The point is, let everybody react the way they want to, we shouldnot and cannot expect a uniform standard of interaction.
Beauty is not a curse, its wrong perception is.

Hi Aman: I will agree with you that Beauty is not a curse. Beauty is no quality in things themselves: It exists merely in the mind which contemplates them.
Every human being is beautiful in one way or another. Some are beautiful externally where as some are beautiful internally.
It is obvious that taste varies. (By ‘taste’ I mean the appreciation of beauty - not stylishness or indecent manners.) Your friend should not worry about the unwanted attention of all these kale neele peele jats (I would just iggy them) and continue to write in haryanvi which atleast I enjoy reading during my free time.

Take it easy!

Beauty Lies In The Eyes Of Beholder

My dear Aman and Vivek,

Oxford dictionary defines beauty and i quote," 1)The quality of being very pleasing to the senses 2] An excellent example of something 3]An attractive feature or advantage."...unquote.

Anything and every thing can be a curse or a blessing depending on the application of it by the subject and hence no statement can be perfect not even THIS ONE,which i am making. There are thousands of examples available in the history where beauty as a CURSE demonstrated it's magic and vice versa.Vivek has quoted a few and there are so many.Mind you it is not only women who use or misuse beauty but we the men are not far behind[If you strictly go by the definition sighted above.]

So it can be a curse if not handled/used properly
OR can be a boon otherwise. Thus no absolute statement made will be a satisfactory conclusion...................Regards
