Mr Rajinder I have a request to you, do not give your answer untill and unless you do a proper due delegence about it. It gives a bad impression about your knowledge on Jats

Dear Sanjeev,

Read in one of the links you yourself have posted what it says about Kapil..

Kapildev Ramlal Nikhanj
Born: 6 January 1959, Chandigarh
Major Teams: Haryana, Northamptonshire, Worcestershire, India.
Known As: Kapil Dev

Once again, please NOTE IT THAT KAPIL DEV IS NOT A JAT. However, if you choose to accept him Jat purely based upon some news paper reports, who am I to stop you..As far as Kapil Dev is concerned, he is not some character from history about whom we don't know. He is very much alive...I am sure lots of members know about him in great details..Wait for some one to confirm if your conclusions are correct.

Rajendra

I have met him couple of times and during one of those conversations he confirmed that he is not a Jat...
Though how does that matter !! I still luv Kapil pahjiii

Kapil Dev's family migrated from Pakistan and engaged in timber business at Chandigarh. Some people say he is a "khati". For some people, everyone who speak haryanvi or hails from Haryana is a jat.

he is not a jat surely, i ve met him enough to know that.
but it doesnt matter.
he has been the most passionate player and best india could have.
we are all proud to be JATs but we shouldnot be obsessed with Jatism. We have a bigger identity and a bigger purpose as well.
Being Indian

Sanjeev,
Brother.....get over it....lol

Kapil is Nikhang....and definitely NOT a jat !

Cheers,

Junnu
