This Monday, Sachin Tendulkar will be all of 33 years. Most cricketers can have nine lives and still wouldn't go beyond the foothills of his achievements.

Yet, there is a call for his head. The Gulliver of our times is being held down by the Lilliputs. Liberate him and you would still enjoy the genius of this man who has been one of the greatest cricketers ever to walk on this earth.

But has the time come for tendulkar to bid goodbye to indian cricket team? or does Sachin still have that Karizma left in him that he can come back and proof all his critics wrong?

He will bounce back

Sachin is too good a player not to be able to bounce back. He has done so in the past and will do again. In any case, his presence in the team is essential in grooming and mentoring the younger players coming up. As for his age, most batsmen in todays modern game don't reach their peak until around the age of 30 and can go on to play till 36-37.

so don't worry about he being around for another few years. Do however pray for his fitnes. I think you will find, if India win the world cup next year, he may retire from ODI's to perhaps ease the physical burden and concentrate on test cricket a bit more.

What actually happens, only time will tell.
