Dear Members

Jat Jagat is a Jat organization in Melbourne or I should the only Jat Organization in Australia. I am not aware if there is any in Sydney. Anyways, my concern about this organisation is that this organization is fighting for its existance.
I should mention here that Melbourne has hundreds of Jat families and even Jatland has more than 70 members from Melbourne.

A jat friend from Melboune who is also an active member of Jat Jagat disclosed that in its last AGM held a few months back, a very senior and active member suggested that non-Jats also should be allowed to become its members. Some of the members even suggested on an earlier occasion to change its name as JJ Hindi society or something similar.

I believe, the members who support this view to change its name or allow non-jats to become Jat Jagat's members have their own compulsions or concerns. Some of the members are living outside India for long have got related to non-jats or likely to be related by marriage alliance etc.

Friends, this is a very important issue and i would like all members to put forward their views to help this organization to find its future direction.

Cheers!

Off course Vikas Bhai, there is such Jat Organisation in Melbourne but may not remain long as the recent events suggest. While going through the FIAV link I could gether that just to be part of this so called umbrella organization the executive commitee has diluted its preamble in essence and spirit.

My concern is that, how it would remain a Jat Organisation if allow others to become its members or change its name that will have no mention of the word jat. Then it will become like any other two-three dozen Indian organization in Melbourne. I am also aware of the dilemma of the members with non jat extended families. Is it the sufficient reason to do away with our roots. I think it is not sufficient to change the identity and hope majority of the members also would support this view.

Should we change it with changing times as some members had suggested in its AGM or remain a distinct identity, an organisation of Jats only??? Members, please share your views.

Very unfortunate this. Those who are suggesting to enlarge the scope and are insisting on it should be allowed to walk away and form a INTERNATIONAL...all casts/religion sabha and become renouned. That had been the problem with our KAUM.......AAPPNNE TINDDE SANGGWAYE KONYA JANTTE,TARBOOJJ BATTAN NEI TYAAR. We have solid reasons to get eliminated/disintegrate and join the universal pool of rats and then run a rat race.JATS ARE REALLY BROADMINDED and growing each day...i would like to meet such JAT GREATS.

What stops them from starting a seperate society for hindi speaking people without disturbing the existing one[An exclusive for own people]....................??????

People are hungry to get appreciation from others!

You are absolutely right Dahiya ji!

Aapne bilkul sahi mishal di hai!

Otherwise, there is already such organisation "Hindi Niketan" in Melbourne representing all Hindi speaking people. Majority of Old Jat Jagat members are also member of Hindi Niketan. That is why i don't see any reason to harm this Jat Organization. The only reason I could think of is that some people are just craving to get appreciation from others. They just eager to hear," Oh yes, being a jat you are really a broadminded person!"

Hope God will shower some wisdon on such people!

In principle I strongly believe that the organization should remain same and must not dillute its charter. They need some extra efforts to put all Jats there (I think the no is large) into the thread of Jat Jagat.

My experience says even if they involves others or change its name that will isolate the fellow Jats there, who has started this intiative.

I think we have not understood the situation and has started passing judgements as usual. First try to figure out the resaon why this association want to terminate itself or modify the scope. May be there are not enough members with this organization or they are finding it difficult to arrange funds to continue it. If that is the case then there is no point in trying to carry a dead organization, the way a monkey keeps carrying her baby even after death. So there is nothing wrong in what they have decided. I am sure they (the AGM people) are not fools and must have come to the conclusion only after a sound debate. Since we do not know the reality we are just trying to make notions based on tid bits of available information.:(.

You may be right Vijay Kumar Ji in your observation. My perception of starting this thread was just to make the Jat community in Melbourne aware of this organization. I believe there are Jats in Melbourne who don't know obout this and would come forward to help and strenthen it rather than disband it or merge it with some other organisation.Like Vikas Dabas Bhai didn't know about this. There are hundreds of Jat families live in Melbourne and should come forward to save this organisation.

There may be times when the strenth at a meeting could be low due to various reasons but doesn't mean that we should advocate to disolve or merge it some other group. If you are a regular on this site, than would know that at times turnover of the active members is very low and hardly any new threads but that doesn't mean that we should open membership of Jatland for others as well or change the name of this site to something else.

Aur Dahiyaji ki baat bhi gaur karne ki hai, " kadhe dussare ke tarbooj batwaane ke chakar mein aapne tindde na sadd jyan"

Cheers!

I agree with you SP sir. In fact you started the thread in a correct way but then it started to digress towards different direction. Instead of doing a post mortem, aussie jats especially from this site, should try to find out more about this organization. I am sure some of jatlanders might be a member too. One way out is to talk to someone senior in jat jagat and try to find out the cause. People can then join this organization and can also work towards any other issue that they might be encountering. I hope aussie jats will wake up and become active in saving jat jagat and utilize the infrastructure that they might be having already to advance the jat cause.
