Please ensure while selecting your team like minded people only are included, do not include hypocrites and leg pullers otherwise you will be derailed from your objective midway.
Keep your activities transparent and work for good cause. Once this is done and your credibility is established, you will see many good persons will pitch in your efforts and your organisation will grow. Ignore initial criticism, never take the criticism to your heart and do not retaliate, rather analyse and if the criticism was positive, take corrective measures. After doing it, inform the critic about the steps taken by you. You will see the critic will also join your team and the organisation will further grow.
