This year JL has entered in to its 10th year. An achievement in itself. Greetings to all members. From a small forum of few members to a media attention ource of the views of youth and educated jat communinity, journey has been phenomenal. Jat Wiki has been a source of great information and enriching day by day.

You may share your own experiences about JL.

happen to go through some old threads. the discussions (earlier) were good, with members involving in sensible arguments nd not too much offending/getting offended to other point of views.

same is not the case now, but still some threads are worth a read. quality, i am sure has deteriorated over a period of time, down the line. one major reason that i can attribute is the exit of some very sensible nd senior members.

a major problem these days is the presence of fake id's nd trolls... nd i don't see reasonable efforts from the mods as well to overcome this problem. wonder how can we contribute towards the betterment of the site, as many (even senior) members take it as a mere time pass.

हे हे हे सर जी भकाओ ना केशव दहिया ने भूल गए आप ? यु जाटलैंड कदे तें इसा था बस आदमी बदलते जा रहे हैं पहलाम आले जाटपणे में विश्वाश रखे थे उन ने अपना गाम टोहना था नेट पे इब आले जाट ने इडियट बतावे हैं ! पहले लोग ग्राम समाज की तारीफ करते थे इब बुढया ने फद्दु बतावे हैं !पहले पंचायत और खप एक अच्छी संस्था थी इब एक बंच हो गयी फूल्स और करप्ट पोलिटिसियंस का !
बाकी जो भी है आज भी सुआद आवे है !जाटलैंड ऐसे ही फलती फूलती रहे और जाट के समाज को जानने मानने वालो की संख्या बढती रहे !

One more reason is the internet accessibility .....it has grown manifolds in a decades time (10 Yrs),...Quality here has suffered due to quantity....the same way quality education has suffered....anyone can become engineer now ;-)

Vow!!! A great achievement. Congrats to all Jatland members. Really the online home for the Jats, we always enhance the knowledge through discussions n all. Wiki is also a great source of information. Above all it makes me feel at home.
 
1. Nice to see some early members still active. There many who were active in early years but not seen much. We had many historic all out fights at time. There was one big fight almost like Jatland war when great Sonali Singh took many by horns through her rustic Haryanvi and polished english.. It was fun to see her in action.

2. I think I too had a fair share of fights at many occasions. Have been here for more than seven years now and enjoying every moment. Ofcourse I too had my share of uneasy moments.

3. We had many threads on shairee, which were really great.

Wish Jatland all the sucess and hope to be here forever.

Dear All,

10 years is indeed a long time for JATS to be in one place! Let's congratulate one another for the caring, sharing and bashing that went on here. One fine day when I truly retire (looks difficult though), I shall go through all my postings and may be bind them together.

Surely one misses members who have stopped posting. There are many whom I truly miss. There were some who were always at war with the world, while some who were on JATLAND 24/7. Lath de rakhyaa tha ar bina muhn dhhoye mandd jayaa kartey!

The present times are bad for the community with all this media bashing going on and we have to be careful NOT to fall in the trap of those who have hated us for centuries because of the freedom with which we have lived through the ages. The younger generation must modernize by adapting to various technologies without forgetting our 'sanskars'. The older generation must also adapt and allow the younsters the freedom to choose their path.

I wish all the members GOD SPEED...

Congrats everyone, great going. I would just like to suggest a few things which can improve the things.

1. Can we introduce the thanks button and a counter. I have seen on many forums this is a good incentive for the members to write useful/meaningful posts.

2. Earlier we used to have points system can a similar system be introduced again.

I dont know technically how easy or difficult these things are but if its not too much trouble than this should be introduced.
 
It is a great achievement that Jatland completed 10 years journey. Shortly Jatland will become teen and young also. We have certain teething troubles which will always remain in a society be it Jat or any other community. It is true that many seniors have stopped writing. There may be many reasons. But we have to show respect to seniors or elderly members. There has to be a code of conduct here. Some members are afraid their writings may be deleted in one click. We have to sustain and regularly improve the system. Regarding eliminating fake IDs we can ensure to put two gotras of self and mother, as we consider in marriages and write the village of origin. Using these two attributes we can fix this problem to a great extent.

Its wonderful that Jatland completed 10 years of its existance in Cyber World. Its a nice achievement to hold together the Jats from all across the globe at one common place. The Owner/Admins should be appreciated for the appropriate and wonderful idea to start this site for the Jat community.

It is diappointing to miss the presence of some senior members but everything has a reason and so holds true for everything that happens.

It is nice to read the posts of some senior ( with respect to age ) members and learn something from their experiance with life. They are the pillers of our strength and glorius past and should be respected by all means. I found here many senior citizen members who are well aware about the changing world and found them more adjustable than the young members. Young members should learn and adapt the good lessons from the elders to get benefitted in life while elder members should try to observe, analyze and evaluate the necessity of certain changes to adjust themselves with the current societal and professional norms.

Its true that the ratio of good discussions in the past were quite good as compared to the discussions of these days. But it seems obvious that with increasing number of members from different backgrounds the rate of conflicting and contradicting views also increases. The only problem with this change is the way of dealing with those conflicts. People are much more aggresive than they should be while handling the difference in point of views among them.

Moderation should be done in much more responsible manner to avoid the bad incidents. Infact, the moderators should be the forum leaders to provide a useful direction to any discussion instead of behaving like silent spectators. Its not about being highly strict but its all about timely approach to mediate and settle the unwanted incidents.

I suppose that most of the Jatland members come here to interact with fellow community members and to discuss the various topics. Jatland Admins should pay attention to improve the quality of discussions and credibility of the site for the Jat community instead of wasting time and space to make it 'just for fun' site by inducing EXTRA features and fancy things.

I have been a member since 2001, more-o-less active and privy to ups and down of the Jatland. I have met excellent people here and they are my good friends now. It has been a wonderful place and i have been regularly surfing it since 2001.

An initiative, Janjagriti, the NGO is also born out of this very site and many people are associated with it.

It has been a wonderful site and i must thank people who started it for having given an excellent platform for Jats for exchanging ideas.

In the days to come this site can be a force to reckon with. It can a basis for generation of lot of ideas. A healthy, unbiased and positive debate can form balanced opinion in the mind of the reader and thus helps form his way of thinking.

10 Years, that's quite an achievement .. Congrats to all of us !! :)

Special thanks to Nitin Dahiya for making it real .. indeed, Jatland proved to be ultimate platform to interact with global Jats. I'm here since 2002 and found so many great friends here n' learned a lot about Jats in Haryana/UP and our history. JL has been kinda addictive for me n' I hardly missed a day when I didn't log in here.

Earlier discussions used to be very rational n' thought provoking but with time the quality certainly has degraded as many of true gems of JL stopped visiting n' contributing. I hope they come back again n' make JL a better platform once again.

I hope n' wish JL keep thriving in coming future n' we all work towards to make a better platform to unite Jats, Amen !

Facebook seems to have taken away a lot of people from JL and will in the future because FB is more pleasant experience that JL. JL has record number of weirdos these days, Hafiz Saeed of LeT will feel right at home on JL.
I made some good friends here....
The quality of discussions here has gone down ................... bera naa ke bimari sei aade logan ke ... sanskar er isse isse ulti sudhi baat karein jaa sein .... Ramayan ka serial bana rakha sei.

Khap khap khap khap khap ....... gotra gotra gotra ..... chulhe mein de de isse discussion ne ..... faaltu bakwaad.
 
ON Jat world facebook page they have dicussion like

1 Is honor killing justified ? Should we include muslim jats? OBC reservation etc.

On Jat facebook page they have two discussion:

1 Save our culture.

2 Khap Panchayat


This is a jat site and u will find these issues on all Jat sites.

I have read how you take part in other discussion as well. Not long ago I saw u Sh--tting in the Commonwealth games VVIP area.

Complain complain and complain thats what I do all day---Unknown poet
 
a sensible member will hardly be able to hold on to JATland for more than 3 months. 1 good thread after 20 posted (hardly 5%). then there are these trolls who have done 1st class diploma in hijacking.

JATland hardly has 25 or maximum 50 active members at a given point of time... nd this will always remain so cos there are no sincere efforts from the mods to maintain the quality of discussion, instead they are more concerned to make JATland look more fancy.

even senior members are also very wary of posting their comments, even on a very sensible nd rational thread topic. their participation is very limited. JATland is always a battleground (24 x 7). thank god, we are on virtual world, or else इब तायिं हर थ्रेड पे लट्ठ चल जाते... रोज दो-चारां का कतल हो जाता. ऐमबूलेंस चौबीस घंटे बारने धोरे खड़ी रहती.
