Shyamji Krishn Verma was the first person to give it a noun of first freedom struggle. his ashes have recently been braught from a foteign land. he was another nahar singh. nahar was the first shaheed of first freedom struggle. he was always first class first, in this shaheedistan.

n for ur querries, gokhle/ranade were among gandhi's gurus. n in turn these fellows considered Dayanad as their guru including Syam ji Krishn Verma. N Dayanad is till today patronised by Jats, incidentally not as Brahmin but Aryan!

I'm not against these poems n shero shayri but Jat must know his past n future. "A race who does not know its past loses soon its future also" said R S Joon.

Mohkam Singh , was an active participant in the 1857 revolt, led the Gathvala khap through out the struggle, and extended his support to the Mangal pandey regime, for safe passage through Doab till Delhi.

Major Jaipal Singh, despite his training in the army, joined the communist party of India (marxist) and was one of those rare marxists who took part in India's struggle for freedom (Bipin Chandra) He provided the British great resistance in the villages through bhikka majra till sirsili in Shamli subdivision of Muzaffarnagar district.

Will come up with more...

Cheers!!

Dr. Saheb,

Kehte hain duniya ugte sooraj ko salam karti hai, Scindias were a part of the saka empire, the last clan if I put it precisely, and sakas were jats... But at that point in time, Jat as a name and as a culture was loosing its importance due to repeated defeats, which is inevitable when one is in war.... So Scindias might have taken the course of rajputism.... for the sake of name.....

Sahi kaha aapne... sab nahi.. to they were far the more the most important resistance providers to the british.... And during the mediveial period to the Mughals.... aaj hum khuli hawa me saans lete hain to apne poorvajon ki vajah se.... History has been manipulated in favor of the people who formed the most powerful class at that point in time.... But.. these research works won't go in vain.. and we would some day have that glory!!

Cheers!!

Bhagat Singh is most glaring example. His entire family was involved in freedom struggle. I'm not sure about Udham Singh.

By the way I remeber that first time when Gandhi was arrested in his life was at Palwal and there he was addressing the farmers. Palwal farmers are dominated by Jats. Its just for the sake of knowledge. There is small park at Palwal railway station in this memory with details inscribed on stone.

Dear Vinodji,

I have tried to provide these on Jatland Wiki so that people know them through internet media. There are number of more freedom fighters to be written about. I could write about whom I could get Info. Members who have some info about our heros should add more to the list.

Hi Ratheej,

I have categorized him in freedom fighters and here is article on jatland Wiki
http://www.jatland.com/home/Choudhary_Ranbir_singh_Hooda(father_of_bhupinder_singh_Hooda)

Kindly expand it. I have to suggest that in the heading give name in shortest form so that it can be linked in other articles. You have provided this articles in Leaders with big name. If you think right I can keep it only "Ranbir Singh Hooda" and rest info can be given in the article.

thanks
PS
Kindly see tha changed article
