Winners never quit & Quitter never wins...
The idea of reservations was not bad in itself but somewhere down the line it has turned out to be more harmful than useful. Initially it was meant to provide the downtroddens a crutch to uplift them. But then over the years, the politics of votes has turned the very idea on its head. Today reservations seem to have bred resentment and inequality in society.
Reservations need to get a fresh look on it and a new policy on how to implement them. Many people who do not need these reservations get its benefit and thus in the process the very purpose of reservations gets defeated. Those needy and poor people for whom it is meant do not even get to know about it. The creamy layers should be excluded. Those who have benefitted from it and thus have got out of that downtrodden condition should be excluded from its ambit.
Instead of these reservations which are full of loopholes and discriminations and are having a crippling effect rather than an enabling one, the government should provide free of cost facilities for coaching and provisions of study materials to those who are socially and economically backward. This way on the one hand those people will get the much needed help and on another there will not be any discriminations against anyone. The result will be that candidates will be on equal footing and selections will be done on the basis of merit rather than on the basis of caste.
Well concluded poonam..
I appriciate one Institute..."Institute of Rural Management" Anand, where the difference of cut-offs between General and SC/ST was just 10 %.
If i'm not wrong, the same has been implemented for OBC'S especially, for all institutions, that in no case the difference should be more than 10%
Means even after it's implementation, a jat (seeking admission under reservation) need to be atleast 0.9 Times as intelligent as the last admitted general category student.
to bhai logo....10-15% extra mehnat hi to karni hai.....itni si baat ke liye kyun jhunjhuna/baisakhi ki baant dekh rahe ho....
Now, after going through various Bank sites, while searching for Education Loans for myself...
I don't support reservation even on Economic basis.
All Banks (including private one's) give Education Loans upto 4 Lac easily without any collateral deposits.
Most banks gives it upto 7.5 Lac, without collateral deposits (but with third patry guarantee n parent's co-obligation)
Some banks gives loan to 10 Lac (without any collaterals) to the meritorious students who secure admission to premier institutes like IIT'S, IIM's etc (all well known topmost one's), without any question.
For all the above mentioned cases (4L~7.5L), one only need to assure 5% margin.
And with the intervention of RBI, banks have to keep it in priority loans.
And all banks have been strictly made to accept the applications online and monitored by Zonal Branches...
Some banks sanction loans in just 2-3 days (if you happen to be in their's listed institutes of priority) and at the max of 8-10 days....
Also one may take extra life insurance cover, so that in case of any mishap, his/her parents may not suffer and this additional cost can be added in the sanctioned amount.
(OBC bank gives 20Lac of accidential insurance cover for free..)
Moreover one can get a concession of 1% in intrest rate if he's in a bit well financial postion to start EMI right after the first disbursement.
one bank also gives 0.5 % extra concession for girls/handicapped students.
The repayment starts 6 months after getting the job or 1 year after finishing the course.
And one can save on Income tax in EMI'S..later on..
One can contact me anytime for more details...i'll be more than happy to help you out.
....................................................................................
Hence...we concluded:
The need is to educate ppls n spread the awareness...
I've been/would-be playing my role very well....
Let's all join hands together..
Warm Regards
