I joined JL almost 10 long years ago, was put off by JL being hijacked by orthodox people and I stopped patronizing JL. By my own experience and other co-members, the dominant JL gangsters (they tend to gang up on other members) run other members off with their moronity (morality) of orthodoxy. They even issued open threats of social pressure of the kind, "if you write something liberal, I know where your relatives live and I will walk down to them to trash talk you" ... lol. Which kind of reinforced the WRONG notion that outsiders have about Jats that JATs are "gawar" despite the education. It was painful and intellectually very off putting, some of these co-members dropped off JL with the thinking, "dangaran te kyun maatha maara, lets utilize this time elsewhere".
Now, I can say that I am pleasantly surprised that a lot of articulate Jats on JL with reformist mindset (even though they might do juta-pajari with each other on various threads when they are bored...lolz), but overall, I see a lot of intelligent and aware Jats with reformist and progressive mindset, expressing themselves with bit more freedom, though I suspect they might not be completely out of their shells yet. Please UNLEASH YOUR INNERSELF
I now see a good mix of older people with PROGRESSIVE mindset freely expressing themselves and NOT DEMANDING RESPECT JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE OLDER IN AGE. I also see a significant proportion of the younger lot expressing their PROGRESSIVE views. This means the generation gap is not that wide as older lot seems amenable than we give them credit for, and the future looks good as our younger lot is moving in the right direction of being progressive Jats integrated with the wider world while retaining their roots, ready to reinvent themselves by shunning the antiquated traditions that have long lost their utility in the modern world and by reforming the still-useful traditions to make them relevant to the 21st century. Congratulation!
Way to go, KEEP IT UP.
I appeal to those who are SILENT READERS, please get engaged, EXPRESS YOURSELF FREELY without the fear of what others will say, do not get stuck with "my parents are ok with my views but aunty/uncle/padosi kya sochenge". Do not worry what they will think, let them read, let them be swept by YOUR WIND of ideological changes. It is not the evil of dominant dogmatic people that harms the society (e.g. self-appointed leaders of Jat who issue diktats like no jeans or cell phone for girls ... yeah right!). It is the SILENCE OF GOOD PEOPLE LIKE YOU that harms the society more. Let us free ourselves from the imposition of self-appointed custodians of moronity in the garb of morality. SPEAK UP PLEASE

Bring it on babyeee, let us hear ya all
What has been your JL experience over the years? How can be impart more moment to the REFORMIST WINDS OF POSITIVE CHANGE? How can we get more silent readers to start contributing? How can we lend more support so that shy ones express themselves freely without the fear of being shamed, ganged up on, and bring put off or run off JL?
