Atul u can see clearly no body is saying similar gotra is proof.
But we want to know the reason for some observation.
pl tell is it wrong
As per unity don't be so passimist, visit any discussion form like Punjabi net discussion about Jat history and see how proud they(muslim/sikh/hindu)are of their jat blood ofcourse we must respect one;s religious beliefs.

Thanx narendra for your cool answer. But the point i was trying to tell is: you cant prove anything just because two words are same/similar. If we have surname like kharab which mentioned in some other country/language/culture or there is some short of similarity it wont be considered as proof for their correspondence. You can argue your case to any historian. He will probably say: Its interesting but it cant be considered as proof.

Thats why i say lets be mature and dont try to find unsolicited similarity, shall we

Thats what my point is: Similarity in name is not considered as proof for some short of correspondence.

It is well known fact that our ancestor must have travelled from africa and over the time period they must have seen lots of civilization before coming to India. It may be entirely true that kharb is same as kharab. But this may is very big issue. Historians dont consider this as proof.

I am sure you can find similarity in all cultures and languages.

I am just saying that there are lot of people who tend to relate themselves to some foreign race. I just ask for proof. If there will be some proof it will be be some kind of biological proof not the similarity in words.

Bilogically we are not similar to iranian or middle east people. :)

Although biologically every human being is similar to to any other human being by 99.9%.

The fact is our hostory is lost, and it would be very very tough to trace our ancestory. Even if we found out that lets say slavic/iranian people are same as Jats it wont change anything. Their religion is different, their cultrue is different and their language is different. It now only us and us indian Jats who matters.

Even we can never unite with Muslim jats in pakistan. we can never unite with bishnois, may be we can unite with some sikh jats.

I just say that there is no point in creating lies. :)

My dear friend ..... i dont know why do you keep dismissing a valid and just argument and don't want to give up your ignorance .......

First the country India and the term Indian you keep on bragging about did not exist as a country and a nationality before the British came here , it was just a region - and the glorious history of the great Jat people is much older than that.

Never was the present day India ever in history before one nation. As an Indian that means i share some cultural or traditional akinness with a Sikkimese or a Naga , which is totally absurd.
And your statement that Jats are not physically or culturally related to Middle-Eastern people is a statement that reflects ignorance to the customs, people and history of that land.

The land inhibited by Jats even in present day, has always in the history of this region, been linked to Iran, Afganistan and the middle-east. Never were they part of the same empire or kingdom as Dravidian India or the North-East.

It is a historic fact and i mean a FACT that before Mohammed , King Vikramaditya (who was a Jat King - for your information) used to rule Arabia , as the Holiest Muslim Shrine of Kabba was adorned with gold plates praising his noble and enlightning rule.
So there is a historic fact that Jats were there long before even Islam.
It is documented in Muslim texts that when Mohammed's wife fell sick he calledon a Jat Doctor to treat her and save her life , which he did.

Who defined the boundries of India - The British in very recent history , and you sticking to those geographical boundries to explore the history of Jats , my friend i am sorry to say but that is sheer ignorance.

And if you will live, observe and study Middle-Eastern people, you will see that under the layers of Islam they have some very distinctive cultural and social customs like Jats.

Some people dont stop putting false claims. I think you need to read my post again. I am just saying that similarity in names is not a just argument. If you feel otherwise then try to argue with a established historian. May be he can convince you.

Oh Mr. VJ, give me a break. When did King vikramaditya became Jat. I have read all the history of Jats and its written no where. If you have proof then show me the proof. I dont believe in stupid claims. :)

If you fail to provide proof i henceforth assume that your claims are absurd and you are a horribly confused person.

Sorry, but i dont have iota of respect left for Islamic beliefs. And i certainly dont respect someone just because they respect me/us.

Muhammad was:

a rapist
a pedophile (had sex with a child)
an assassin
a mass murderer
a ruthless torturer
a terrorist
a lecher
a misogynist
a narcissist
a thief and plunderer
a cult leader
a mentally deranged

If you can prove otherwise then you are welcome here

My dear friend ......... of what i am concerned Mohammed can go F**K himself .. as i neither have any compassion or any respect for the man.

and the world your knowledge comes from , its impossible to drag you out of the well ........

mate read the discussions on Jat history and you will know that king Vikramaditya was a Jat , and you will gind all the historical proofs too ........... and mate nobody needs a link to prove that North-west india was linked to Iran and afganistan ...........

All the muslin kingdoms , Maurya Kingdom - with legndary kings like Ashoka , Chandragupta (they were jats too) , The Kushan Empire ... al included north-west India , Afganistan , Iran .......... (and these are just a few to name)

Takshila a major university at the time of Chandragupta Maurya was located in Afganistan , and the important city of Kamboj too was in Afganistan ....

Chanakya himself was an iranian sun-priest .........

So my friend open your eyes ,,, read a bit more and then we will talk .....

and we are not talking about similaries in words .......... its family names being discussed here , and some thing so significant like family names does not change and does not just happen to be the same ..........

A Taylor or Jones in America or Australia is bound to have his ansectory in UK , and so does an American Kennedy to Ireland , and a Heinz to Germany and Lee to China ......

But mate if you want to call black , pink ............ go ahead your choice .....

and the Gupta Empire was very much a Jat Dynasty my friend ........ read the posts in Jat History section .......... take some time out and enlighten yourself .....

All the proofs and details are there and you will read everything ........... so just by seeing Gupta with Vikramaditya dont link him to Guptas (baniyas) ........ it was very much a Jat Dynasty ...........

Please pradeep, the way i spend my time is none of your business. I dont want any opinion on this. You better take out your frustations somewhere else.. You dont have to act like a cop. :p

@VJ: All i can say is those readings are interesting, these are discussions and i think it does not substantiate any claim. Still i believe Vikramaditya is not Jat. The way you are trying to overlap things will lead to unification of all human races.

Present bihar was homestate of Vikramaditya, and there are no Jats in Bihar. Morever vikrmaditya converted to Budhism before he died.

May be we have to read books. :)

Dear Kharbs
Some recent posts in jat history group have solved a mystery regarding the origin of kharb gotr
As the oral traditions are passed from generation to generation ,they always have some elements of truth in them.
Elders of almost all the kharb gotr villages speak of their arrival from Delhi.
The genealogy record keeper bards speak of this gotr origin from taur King who ruled delhi and was famous for its killi.
Problem was tomars kings ruled delhi for many centuaries.
Now it was discovered that these kings used both tomar and taur gotr which is synonimous
King ANANGPAL the maternal grand father of Prithvi raj was known as Anangpal TAUR as found in his genealogy records.
This shows after the defeat of last taur king of delhi taurs dispersed from delhi capital in to neighboring reasons.
It may also be the reason why the word Kharb is assosiated with dispersal by its bards
However in hindi these two words contain different meanings.

actual kharb origin

 Friends, now i wd like to tell you about the real origin of kharb
i don't know how many kharb themself might be aware of the fact.
as my grandfather told us that kharb actually are the precesters of PANDAV FAIMILY
surprising!
yeah
but that's true as we have a record maintained in haridwar.
and about the kharb gotras in jind we have villages like
PAJU, TITTO, KARSINDHU
IN PANIPAT
NARA(WHICH IS THE MAIN AND LARGEST KHARB GOTRA VILLAGE)
I THINK NOW U HAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION TO BE PROUD OF BEING A KHARB:cool:
