Kaise baat karte ho Rathi Bhai..If the cause is genuine, there are lots of people who will be willing to come forward and help the needy. Most of us had not just one, but quite a few who stood by us and helped us to reach where we are..Trust me, none of them had any personal interest in extending the helping hand to us. I don't think what Mukesh has written is ALL WRONG or ALL RIGHT. Depends on how you look at life and what have been your personal experiences. There is perhaps a deep philosophical thought that we tend to miss in the quoted statement. It is very easy to say that WE ARE ALL ONE. Like I said 'easy to say', but don't we know the reality of our community on ground? Bhai-Bhai ka galaa kat raha hai and we say we are one. Members can't take even a bit of criticism on this forum, here, where we are all 'Educated', hopefully. I don't think we are all one. Far from it. We will never be one. When we can't even remain united with our own brothers, unity of community my dear friends is a long way off.

Koi bhi karam matlab ke liye hota hai. Karam ka phal bhi milta hai. Bhai, maine to sab ko Karam karte hue dekha hai to matlab ke liye. Agar insaan mehnat karta hai to apnon ka achha karne ke liye karta hai na ki padosion ke liye. This is a universal truth. I am talking about normal human beings and not 'Angles'.

Very recently I was discussing something similar with someone close and he summed up life in one sentence. "Koi is duniya mein Karz chadha raha hai, koi Karz utaar raha hai".

Sometimes we come across with persons who are very selfish. we should not make our mind according to those people. Still, there are some people, who feel very happy to help others. I personaly know some of those persons who take a sense of pride in helping others.

In any way, uncle Ji, you have more experience of life than we have. So, you know more about the worls around us.

May be, we are seeing this world through rose tinted glasses.

Thanks to all for posting your valuable views. I think you all are right on your points. I agree with Col Malik Uncle ji. I know that still many people are giving their contribution and help to the poor and needy people without any selfish motive and purpose. But in present time the word "Matlab" is playing a major role in our society. Today 90% people out of 100 are interested in "MATLAB". I know that it is a negative thought but in current scenario we are thinking much negative in the social matters. It is a truth, either accepts it or not.
Let me to share a real example with you
Ek baar maie gaav (village) maie apne parosi ke uncleji ke betha tha, tabi achanak unke parosi (jo gareeb tha) ke ghar ka ek bacha khelta huwa aa gaya, jishne kelte khelte ek glass gira diya & glass tut gya tabi un uncleji naie us innocent ke jordhar chanta jarh diya, itne maie hi uss bache ki mother bi aa gai the & tabi uncleji us bache par gussa ho gaye and uski mother ko keha ki bacho ka dhyan (care) nahi rekh sakte to paida kyo karte ho,,
wo bechari kuch nahi boli...
Lakin uske five minute baad maie hi uske parose maie rehne wale principal shab ki bakri khet maie aa gai , uncle ji gussa hote isse pehle hi unhe pata chala ki yeh to pricipal shab ki bakri hai to unhone mujhe keha ki "ja beta isko wapas bandwa ke aa , principal shab becahre dundte dundte paresan ho jayenge."
Then tell me agar matlab ka astitav yeha par nahi hota to kya wo uncleji us bache ke maa ke sath aisa behave karte., nahi na ...

Mere Dadaji hame kehte the ki Pehle Gaav maie kisi gareeb ki larki ki marriage sabi gaav wale milkar bhari achi tehra se karte the, But I am unable to see such example in present.
Lakin aajkal bhoot se log yaa to madad karte nahi hai yaa phir agar karte bi hai to us insaan ko apne paro ke niche rekhna chate hai..(by many means)

I think, now days we analyze everything on economically point of view, this is why the social values are decreasing.
