Gen Kadyan's Case!!
Lt Gen Kadyan was my Col of the Regiment as well as my Corp Commander. I have had a lot of interaction with him. His elder brother lives in US and we have been meeting with each other very often.
Firstly, Lt Gen Kadyan was in line to become chief, for he was commissioned at a very young age, and got promoted in time. He is an excellent orator and had served on important Command and Staff assignment.
What I know is that while posted at France, in Brig's rank, he asked for one year extention of his tenure, which was granted. But then back home his coursemates, junior to him in IC number got promoted, By the time he came back, all of them have finished their command tenure of a division. Lt Gen Kadyan was given minimum mendatory time to fulfill his command tenure requirements, but yet missed the chance to become the Arm Commander. He had asked for the waiver of minimum time to be the Corp Cdr, but apparantly that was not granted. If Lt Gen Kadyan, had made it to Army Cdr, he would have definitely made it to Chief, and he would have been the first Chief from Jat Community. Obviously those who would not know the rules and regulations, will make it a Jat vs. Brahmin/any other caste case.
Haan Kadyan ke mamle ko maine follow kiya tha as i am also kadyan, he got retired and no decision made in his case till his retirement.so sad.
Kitne jaat fauj mein hai kya koi jaat chief bana hai in recent history. Agar nahi toh There is Conspiracy for sure. Find this out.
