Hi,

Our Culture or society does not allow and it should never allow such thing what Mallika is doing. May be no control of her parents or desire or more money. But overall it can't be telerated. We cant see whatever she does with ur family members. If we cant see or dont allow anyone to see then it can't be a good work which make feel us proud.

I hope Mallika will understand and will turn to right way as Mahima is doing. There is limit of everything. She has really crossed all the limits.

I don't think we have any business to comment upon what Mallika is doing. Just because she's a jatni doesn't mean that she has lost the right to decide what she should and should not do. Whay do we expect her to do what other jats would like her to do?
There are many more jats who are doing worse than this (murder, dacoity, corruption etc). Let's try to stop them first.

Hi all,

This is her life. Let her decide. While she is acting, she is an actress (Artist) first and jat later. We have other actresses following the same path. Even in their castes this is not allowed in public. this is all theatre and on screen. Who knows there may be jatnis working as prostitutes too. We already have a long list of criminals in our jat belt. Atleast like those she is not doing any harm. we should be ashamed when a Jat kills his own brother or father on property dispute and not when mallika bares on the set.

Thanks.

excuse me who gave u people the right to moral police others its her life let her choose what she does who are u guys to tell her what to do...i agree we shud be more ashamed of action like killin brothers for money or land....

Dear Shaukandae,

Yeah. wrong is wrong. However we cant bind her. She can do whatever she like for whatever reasons. But being a jat we cant bear such thing. But we have right to criticise. We cant admire her.

Thx

hey shakti.....
fully agreed that being a creature of democratic nation india... u have every right to admire or criticise anyone....
but the point is why???.... is it going to fetch anything... hey c is too busy to be reading this mail of u'r!!........ so better avoid discussing her n rather let's go for self improvement... someone in the thread jus mentioned that it's is much more sinful to murder own relatives. jus like that to cheat someone.... torture poors in the red tapism of democracy.. bribery etc r the real issues which we can help avoid by killing these instincts in ourselves.... but discussing some sherawat n her dare bare scenes wont help us in any way..!! i'm sure u all agree wid me!

Hi Everybody,

I think problem is our attitude and our attraction towards western world. we have to pay for it somewhere somehow. it is Indian cultural issue rather than being a Jat forum topic.

everybody want to get name and fame, and she is getting all these. rather than talking about Mallika, i think it is more important how we are going to educate our children regarding our cultural values.

if we thinks what she is doing is wrong? then we should try that no other Jat girl follow her path.

Dear All,

RAM RAM,

Last Sunday I got an opportunity to watch Mallika. She was being interviewed by Mr Prabhu Chawla for his famous programme 'SEEDHI BAAT'. And those of you who have seen this programme would agree that whatever we may say about this girl, she is a very confident young woman who catches the bull by the horns. Prabhu Chawla is a very agressive anchor but Mallika answered each question without hesitation. And she repeated a few times that she is a JAT Girl from a village. Well, no one can take that away form her. Can we?

Why I am unnecessarily lengthening this thread is just to say that each person has his likes and dislikes. The earlier thread on Mallika had members taking extreme positions. My point is simple. Leave her alone. She is an adult and has parents to advice her. that is if she needs their advice. When Hollywood actresses 'bare' we call it an act of art but when this girl is trying to struggle in an industry that is dominated by 'Refugees' we put her down. What double standards!!!

All those who feel that she is a curse to the JAT community, please shield yourself and your children from her kind of movies and interviews. On one side people are writing which actresses one would like to marry and then we talk about Mallika.

I am reminded of a joke. May be it was true. Please forgive me for the language used as the point is not driven home otherwise. A girl tells her mother innocently "Ma, mera naada dheela ho se". Ma boli " Beti, koi baat na. Tera byah karva deinge:. The brother overheard this and used his brains and went to his father and told him "Babu, meri langad dheeli ho ri se". Babu bolya "Bhai apni ne kas ke baandh le na te saari duniya tamasha dekhagi". (The actual version is not for public display)

Let us leave Mallika alone and get on with other important works.

Regards,

Hey guys

Whats wrong with u why u are criticising Mallika. I dont think she is doing any harm to our community. This is her career and everyone in a democracy have the right to do what he/she wants. So please let her go ahead and stop this controversy. Those who dont like her please dont watch her movies and please keep your childrens away from her movies. But please change yourself with the world if u want to do something in your life.

Bhai Jagmohan:

Where are you hiding?

I wrote it in Haryanavi to hit the right message in its proper tone.

“If we think what she is doing is wrong?

That’s the whole problem – ‘that she is wrong’ has not been determined in the court of law! Other than that, I mean other than what is legally correct, the public opinion frenzy fueled by sheer Neanderthal as to what is morally correct, is inconsequential!

“Then we should try that no other Jat girl follow her path.”

Easier said than done! The world doesn’t revolve our little finger or cater to our own self professed value system. EDUCATION is an equal opportunity privilege and right, it doesn’t discriminate on the bases of age, gender, social or economical affluence or lack thereof. Once you are empowered you have the right to determine what’s in your best interest and yes, that may necessarily not be in the best interest of the community. As far as I see it, Kalpana Chawla and Mallika Sherawat have freely exercised their constitutional right to better/worsen their lives. By the way, Jitendra, Mallika’s decision has nothing to do with name or fame, monetary considerations may be, to which she is entitled!

Wake up people, it is 2004, the world has moved on. How long will you keep your women tied to the khoontas?

“But we have right to criticise.”

And so does she, er… has a “right” to exercise her freedom!” Right?

“We can’t admire her.”

Does it really matter? She could care less!

Ram Ram,

There are two threads going on this topic. I am not sure why people are still bothered about mallika. She worked hard , was determined and she used her constitutional right as Sujatha said. She has achieved what she wanted to so why dont we just support her as Jat. Lets be happy for her. Regarding Jitendra's note that we need to educate our kids I completely agree with him. Do we tell our kids what sex is all about till they read or know by themselves. I am in US and you see here that kids at very young age knows what this all means. Mallika is bad because she is removing her clothes and those movies are not supposed to be good for young kids. Let educate them so that they know what they r watching. Lets GROW UP people its 2004 and not 1970s. Regarding Mallika’s note I agree that she is confident allthough I have still to see her movie (which I plan to get today) but from what I have read I appreciate her. I also request you all here to see the comments made by many people on the other thread on the same topic. I am ashamed that some ladies and guys in Jat community are still living in 1950s. Jats can do any thing if they want but the thing is that we dont get support within our community so lets stop this and help and support our people and grow together. Look at other communities in arround you and lets learn from them. Enough of killing our brother and fathers for money and land it time for us to get educated and move out.

Lets make us The Jats Proud.

Amar
