Dear Members,

Here is short puzzle for you.

There are 2 envelopes, one contain twice the amount of other (in hard currency, Rs.). You have to choose an envelpe and money is yours.
but once you select an envelope, after seeing the amount of cash in it, You have an option to choose other envelope if you want.

You choose an envelope found a 100 Rs note in it. Would you keep it or choose the other one (remember other one could be Rs. 50 or Rs. 200)

i'll keep it...coz before selecting the envelope i would
make some judgement and will select the envelope which should
appear to have more money....so i can believe that other envelope has 50 Rs

This is not a quiz as there is not calculation or the logic attached with the selection of the envelopes. Then, it's just a matter of probability of selecting an envelope from a set of two envelopes.

So, after selecting one, you can never be sure that the other one contains more or less. Select one and feel satisfied!
Cheers

I will choose the 'other' one

If it turns out to be Rs 50/- envelop. I 'll take the loss of 50% as a cost of knowing the contents of both envelopes.

If its Rs 200/- envelop. Now I have the right one.

PS: Knowing the contents of both envelopes is life line of my game.

Cheers,
