He is following the perfect recipe of attaining a position of power; that has been successfully tested and tried in all parts of the world. This is how it works:
Step 1: Realize that you are better than everyone else around you. The guy who always sits on the front seat in the class and always does his Math homework is an idiot. Someday thousands like him will work for you.
Step 2 : Education is for the short-sighted. Cut short the chase and focus on making contacts with the powerful people who will help you become one of them.
Step 3 : Become the local-goonda. Beat-up innocent people and spend a couple of nights in the police lock-up.
Step 4 : By now you should be spotted by some national-level-goonda (politician). He or she will take you under their wing. They will groom you. Be their kutta for the next few years. Dont just bark. Go and bite anyone your master points at. Bite them bad. The better you bite, better the prospects of you rising above other kuttas around you.
Step 5 : Use your leadership skills and convince some of the other kuttas working under you to start your own party. Part ways from your mentor-goonda and start your own political party.
Step 6 : This is where your marketing skills come in handy. People look at you just as a protege of another politician. Create your own market-niche. Give the people something different that your previous boss didnt offer. For example, if your boss used hate to divide people on the basis of religion caste or creed to get the coveted 50.01% votes that put them in power, create more hatred among people to divide them further.
Step 7 : If there isnt enough religious diversity to divide the people you intend to rule over, then just use the blessing of plate-techtonic movements that are responsible for the geographical location of your state. Anyone not belonging to your state is a fair target.
Step 8 : By now your own kuttas should be running around biting people. People should be scared of your kuttas while you enjoy your own Z-class security provided by their taxes. Business should be scared of operating without your blessing. Everyone should carry that fear into the polling booth during the next elections.
Step 9 : By now your kutas should have killed someone who just happend to belong to a certain religion, caste, class or geographical location. You will be arrested under various IPCs. You will spend a night in the lockup. Next morning your lawyers will bail you out. A battery of mediapersons will take a picture of you being taken to court for "fighting for the rights of your people." You will be a state-level goonda by now. You will get crores of rupees worth of free-publicity. Everyone in your state by now will recognize you by your face, since you have been fighting for their rights. Now you are all set to contest the next elections.
