Typical Story? What typical story .. This is original romance not some bollywood SRK romantic crap. Read below what Tarantino said about it -

'Well that is a real romantic movie.' 'No, like one without violence?' 'Well there'll be a lot of things in any movie I do that will be contradictory, but anybody who's a fan of the movie can tell you, the title - True Romance - is not ironic...this is true romance.'" - Quentin Tarantino.


Certainly deserves 5/5 and hats off to Q!

Typical story . Guy meet some call gal get married , went to her pimp kill him took his cociane , which he intend to sell and make some money out of it . Due to which some gangsters and cops are after him .
Screenplay is awesome , though predictable still keeps the viewer interested . No drama how a simple guy turn into shooter - logic they have used we all have a dangerous kind inside us when right time come that dangerous person comes out . There are scenes where hero imagine his evil or dangerous side and have dialogues with him .
Many good scenes - in one Dennis Hopper to Christopher Walkin impact of Negroes ( moors ) on Siciliy , hilarious . There is a fight between heroine and one of the gangster - Superb . Unexpected dialogues - for instance when guy shoot the gal's pimp he came back and gal started crying , viewer would expect heroine would say " now cops gonna catch u blah blah........" . However heroine says " B**** its very Romantic " .

Brad Pitt has a very small role of some lazy room mate

Must watch movie .

Starring Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette ( I have not seen much movie of these , if any one can suggest some good movie of them , Thanks in advance)

Hey ram ji .
Why we need to think always otherwise . What is a typical story ----Correct me if I m wrong here . Typical Story is a story which viewers already know , they know how would things go , they predict the scenes , predict the end . This is what I call I typical story which I already know .
Different story is -----what viewers can not predict , where there is always a curiosity what gonna happen next .

Here guy meets a gal , love at first sight get married , guy wanna save her from her pimp - accidently pick his cocaine . Now every one is after their lives . N obvious hai----happy ending toh hogi hi . In how many movies we have seen same stuff ( may be I have seen other movies before this one ----this could be the reason )

Movie is indeed awesome , screenplay -----dialogues n all , many things I have already mentioned in the post .

N jahan tak quotes ki bat hai . Its just me ------I do not follow somebody's quote just coz they are famous . For me we all are great and best in our own way .



Dearest Jit ,

We all have our opinion and certain views about movies . Lets stay same , why some one needs to change their views becoz other one like or do not like the movie .
Yar democracy hai , dekho na dekho I m neither at gain nor at loss .
Please lets not make this Thread a Battlefield or some Debate / discussion thread . I love movies and I seriously want to keep the sanctity of this thread . So from now on I m done explaining my reviews to anyone who does not have same likes -----like mine .

Oh I missed one more thing ---god knows what made u think I like all SRK romantic movies . SRK is a good actor , only romatic movie which I liked was " DDLJ " . I do not care if somebody thinks DDLJ is Crap .

वैसे तो मै मन्नै फिल्म-फ़ालम देखण का घणा शौक कोन्या, पर कुछ दिन पहल्यां "मटरू की बिजली का मंदोला" देखी थी. बढ़िया फ़िल्म लागी I Off-Beat सी फिल्म है जिसका कोई theme है (जमीन अधिग्रहण की नीति आदि ) , वरना अधिकाँश फ़िल्में आजकल फ़ालतू की बकवास ही होती है I पंकज कपूर का अभिनय बहुत ही बढ़िया है और हरियाणवी पृष्ठभूमि वाली बड़े परदे की शायद पहली फिल्म है, वर्ना conventional producers के लिए हरियाणा या अन्य जाट बहुल इलाके और संस्कृति को फिल्मों में दर्शाया जाना फैशन के खिलाफ माना जाता रहा है I बम्बई के भाई लोगों की bogus culture और घटिया संवाद या सस्ता रोमांस ही अधिकांश निर्माताओं को प्रेरित करता रहा है I

Simple Story . Gal ran away from a violent husband to some new town met some widower with two kids . During the course she became friend with some gal who help her .
In climax her Ex Husband caem gal n her ex husband had fight n she killed him . Little or more like Sleeping Beauty . Oh........
Gal who was her friend actually ghost of hero dead wife which heroine found out at the end .

Based on book From writer - Nicholas ( Notebook wala )
Okay , can watch .
 
Killing Bono

Story is about the dream of becoming Rockstar . Same school , 2 different bands . One of the brothers got chance to become a part of would be most popular band , however other one never tell him about the chance . Their struggle - though not much drama . Some part is comedy . Acting is good all actors , movie is Okay types .

One can skip
 
Good Bye Lenin ( German movie )

Movie is about the love of a son towards his mother , sort of dark comedy . Story :
Movie is based during that time when there was a Berlin Wall , east and west Germany . Hero's father abandon them , her mother socialist had a hard attack after a while and went into comma . She got recoverred after years during which east n west Germany united . Doctors advised hero - son another shock and she might not survive . Son create the same world for her mother which she left , same ea-tables , TV shows everything . One day his mother had another heart attack after sharing some story of his father abandonment . She had got few days to live , son found the father and ask him to meet her as this was her last wish . During this course , hero's galfrnd disclose the secret to his mother .
Last scene was really emotional when son made some video of east germany for her mother, his mother knew that it was not real still she never said this to him . She died afterwards , till end son used to think that his mother never knew of all that Germany unification though she knew.

Movie has no emotional drama , rather comedy . Though she died in end , still seems happy ending .

Must watch movie
