Most people worry unnecessarily about too many things. It is almost as though they search for things to give themselves stress. You may find that hard to believe, but if you have doubts, look at these figures about worry:

40% of all things that people worry that will happen, never come to pass.
30% of all worries involve past decisions that cannot be changed.
12% focuses on criticism from others who spoke, because they felt inferior.
10% is related to health, which worsens when a person worries.
8% could be described as "legitimate" cause for concern.

Is that not remarkable?Fewer than 1 problem in 10 that cause stress is a real concern. All the others are things that we can learn to eliminate.

Neena... listen ...Everybody should be having stress in life.....Every person who is at the top..surely he/she had pain in life.. in any aspect....behind every success there was a pain in past...so sometime stress is necessary.......

Interesting debate. Let me also add my part of confusion/ solution to this. In physical terms the stress is when two parts of an obect are subjected to differental force. In case of human body how this defintion translates ? To me this is when one's heart feels one way and the mind thinks differently. This is the baisc root cause of all stress. Partly this stress is essential and partly non-essential. However, with understanding of human body and its behaviour under various external and internal conditionals one can decreseae this differentail, thereby reduce the stress. I think I will leave it here as volumes can be written further on the subject to explan its various aspects.
