Narendra Modi preferred over Rahul Gandhi: Poll

Have you heard any congressi talking about his/her PM aspiration
You mean BJP without Modi is OK or Modi without BJP is OK? Definitely Modi needs BJP for PMship.

As far as support in BJP is concerned, nobody has 100% support. Rahul Gandhi also needs congress's support as Modi needs BJP's.

Loopholes are not where?

On the same lines, VP sir did suggest at the state level, but you were skeptical.

OK, Let's us suppose we find a Good Independent. :)
What are probabilities of finding 272 other Good Independents who can support the First Good Independent to form the Govt ?
Now, who is Skeptical ?

272 good independents is extreme optimism, not skepticism...:)
Team Anna proved that public can come together for a cause. And, it all started with a few good men.

It is obvious that public can come together for a cause and hence few leaders or vice versa. The real problem starts here. There will be some Prashant Bhushan, Some Agnivesh, some Baba Ramdev and so on. There were always few good men like T N Sheshan, Abdul Kalaam Azad and many others ( known or unknwon ) but how far they travelled on this path.

End of the day, a strong Political Party is needed to contest the Election at national level.

It is also quite obvious who has the advantage among independents, state or national parties. We all know what strategic advantage state/ its leader has if the leader belongs to the same party as at the centre. And all that.
Every good man you have mentioned travelled separate paths. Bring them together and you can have a formidable force. But alas, you prefer the national parties, and will continue to vote for who exploits the nation less, but exploit they will. Shall we start a discussion on "these few good men" can also be bought"?

It's not about me or you voting to whom but its all about what options public have. There are so many example of Independents or smaller parties changing sides for their personal gains.
How many people trust Independents or look upon them to change the Nation ?
How many people assume that voting for them is like wasting their votes ?
Few opposition leaders founded a new political party in 1989 and people trusted them, voted for them but the party got disintegrated within a year because of the ego clashes among the leaders. Picking up few good men from different background to found a new party ( or whatever ) is so much different from running a Govt.

You can keep discussing these theoretical things forever.
Bring forward some person or "few good men" who are ready to do it PRACTICALLY.
Independents (OK ... not salable ) theory is too hard to digest.
:o

Agreed, these are all theories...just as it is a theory right now that Modi will make a better PM than Rahul.

National Level Parties forms Govt. instead of individuals.

I hope you remember T N Sheshan.
:p
Even if the national level parties like Congress and our all time favourite BJP harbour criminals and do not give tickets to honest people, would you keep supporting them. An honest and able person, if somehow, not able to get any party's ticket is a worthless creature in your perception?? According to your logic, a person becomes eligible to rule only if he/she comes with the blessing of some corrupt and criminal dons.

Huh....First you tell which nation is your ideal, means a nation with religious apathy, and will go from there.

You are absolutely right about business houses deciding the political winners. Then why blame congress or any other political party for anything?
You are also right that we don't have to believe everything that media says. So, we should also not believe word for word when media goes gung-ho about Modi.

A question for you-In a nation with strong religious fervor, can a political party win without playing on the religious sentiments of people?
