Feku Says: Narendra Modi says tourism in Gujarat has grown 16% from last year and Gujarat is number 1 in tourism.

Fact : — Gujarat ranks 9th amongst Indian states as tourism destinations and merely 12% of foreign tourists visit Gujarat

Farmers suicide expose the lie on Gujarat’s agriculture

Tragedy in the Heart of Saurashtra as Over 600 Farmers Commit Suicide

While Pheku is boasting of development and agricultural growth (an empty boast not backed by numbers) over 600 small and marginal farmers have ended their lives, squeezed into suicide by an unresponsive State and huge debts. This is a tragedy that has been unfolding and continues to unfold with many layers of brutal insensitivity and disregard for human life. Between 2003 and 2007, 489 farmers committed suicide. That was five years ago. How many Vikas Yatras and Vibrant Gujarat summits has the Chief Minister conducted since then? Why was the tragedy that had set into motion arrested? Between 2009 and 2012 an additional 112 farmers are reported to have ended their lives. And as the rains of 2012 failed since October/November of 2012, the unofficial figures are that there have been 40 more suicides. In all, the figures as gleaned mostly from official data stands at 641 suicides in 10 years. Pheku’s boasts on agricultural growth stand denuded by the suicides.

Gujarat’s PDS System one of the Worst Performing Ones in India: CAG

Pheku has been trying his best to push back against the Food Security Bill . Poor Pheku. He is caught between a rock and a hard place on this one. There is much that is wrong with the bill but his State’s performance of providing food subsidies and ensuring that they reach Gujarat’s poor has been so bad that he doesn’t have a leg to stand on. And because whatever critique he raises has to also try and cover up his government’s non- performance, he gets it wrong again and again.
The recent CAG report for instance, puts Gujarat as one of the worst performing state on the Public Distribution System reform. Most other states are far ahead of Gujarat. Pheku’s 12 year reign in Gujarat has seen one of the worst known deterioration of the Public Distribution System. The list is long but we will for starters give you a few examples:

  1. In the 12 years of Pheku rule, the BPL lists have never been updated/revised. It was last updated in 1998.
  2. Over half the names in the BPL list are fake.
  3. According to the NSSO, Gujarat has one of the largest leakages out of the PDS system. In other words, in Gujarat food meant for BPL families is diverted more than the other States of India.
  4. The NSSO report also found Gujarat to have an exceptionally strong nexus between contractors and food mafia.

Whatever may be the reason, but I understand that living the life is much easier, better, peaceful and comfortable in Gujarat than the most of northern states....

Will this not be more intellectually appropriate if such (sponsored) thread remains unattended, unheeded and insignificant? It'll be better to ignore such a thread & let's not reply, dear friends. I myself didn't want to & so I have not replied to the thread but then I thought I ought to tell my feelings to the fellow Jat intellectuals.

.

Bhai teri naukri khatre main hai, you won't be paid for posting such $hit here. Learn from the one who 'liked' your post. He's set true example.

Well he criticized Rajpal Dular ji heavily for posting in favor of Mr Modi from FB or such sources, but liking similar kind of stuff posted by the other side on similar unreliable source. Clear case of conflicting interest.

As Mandeep ji rightly said, such post should be ignored (whoever posts it).

Gujarat PDS System has been appreciated by officers of many congress ruled states, please get it through RTI that how many congress ruled states officers are visiting to study the Gujarat PDS & Transport systems. If they are so bad then why congress ruled states officers are visiting to study Gujarat States Systems? Please know the truth. From administration point of view Gujarat is much better than other states.

Krishan bhai,

The least we can do is not to manipulate facts. Please read this: http://www.thehindu.com/news/nation...-pds-is-exclusionary-leaky/article5029717.ece

And having said that, let me also say I have been beating trumpets about Chattisgarh's PDS which is leak proof and one of the best in the country but Gujarat's is ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Sir,

There are several threads that praise Modi, would you not call them sponsored? Is not this a biased attitude where you cant take criticism which by the way is true
