Jat National Leader

It present times, I guess I will give my vote for Ram Niwas Mirdha, son of legendry Baldev Ram Mirdha.

Ram Niwas Mirdha can influence just in his constituency but nowhere else.

Nowadys, only Om prakash Chautala or Ajit Singh ( just a little) can influence the national politics nobody else. Balram Jakhar is nowhere and must be ruled out. Randeep Surjewala still have to prove himself.

Who else ???

Ch. Charan Singh: Unfair to compare him to any other Jat leaders. One might say he turned few impossiblities to possibilites, like -
1. A Jat political leader for whom Jats voted together, regardless of their differences. A Miracle!!!
2. A Jat UP CM (used to be the most powerful political position after PM).
3. Of course PM.
Although he just touched #2/#3 and couldn't hold on to them.

Ch. Devi Lal: The real reason to fame was defeating Ch. Balram Jakhar which was more of an anti Rajiv wave than Ch. Devi's charisma or political prowess.

Ch. Bansi Lal: Architect of Haryana, one of the least appreciated Jat leader by Jats.

Ch. Balram Jakhar: Had potential and opprotunities but no "Guts".

Mr. Natwar Singh: Jats have not much to do with his successes. He made his own success and downfall. A sucessful Jat, nonetheless.

Mr. Saheb Singh: Becoming Delhi CM needs quite some substance.

And then there are some "very good lost leaders" who were synonym to be against opportunities, like Kumbha Ram Arya in Rajasthan, may be more in UP, Haryana, and outer Delhi?

An aspiring Jat trying to become a "leader" should make a casestudy of these leaders to learn how to be successful and avoid downfalls.

Jat Leaders for tomorrow

In the course of this discussion we have had many a names, who were national leaders, who were not national leaders, the matter of fact remains we do not have a national leader.

OK, so lets start naming from today and tomorrow’s prospective.

There are few young Jat leaders existing, there are few in making. Lets try and see who all they can be and eventually who will be First Among Equals

Mind you, we are trying to shortlist potentially the best existing today and possible tomorrow, not all . . .

(Pls exclude already established leaders, e.g. Hooda ji, CM Haryana)

Rajasthan

Harendra Mirdha – INC, 4 term MLA, Cab. Minister, Rajasthan
Mahipal Maderna - INC, MLA, Zila Pramukh 15 yrs (3 terms) Jodhpur
Dr. Chandra Bhan – INC, Ex. Energy Minister, Rajasthan

MP

Vikram Verma – BJP, Ex. Leager of Opp, Minister in Ndelhi

Haryana

Randeep Singh Surjewala, INC, Pres. IYC, Minister Haryana

UP

There are many I can name, but I will like to have your feed back so we all can have a good database and try to unite as many of them as we are capable of in our own right.

problem our leaders dont care about issue's of jats from other states. For example chautala dont have iota of idea about rajsthani jats. Whenever he came to ask for votes we rajsthani jats dont give much importance. Same is true for ajit singh.

I 100% agree with your observation, but thats what sort of community we are, thanks to medium like this forum, we are atleast unified.

well arti we can not include MLA's or corporators in national level leaders, the national level leaders carry a very diffrent profile few of the names you mentioned can be good leaders but largely they are regional leaders, now for eg. inme kuch haryana ke hai aur kuch rajasthan ke lekin in logo ke naam saare jatoon ko hi nahi ppata honge to national level ki baat to bahut door ki cheez hai.

according to me in the current times the national level jat leaders / politicians are --

1. Balram Jakhar
2. sis ram ola
3. Natwar singh ( sad story )

rest all do not have wot it takes to be a national level leaders. i wish more leaders do escalate to this level.

what to talk of strong national Jat leader, India has no national leader from any caste. Does India have;

1. Brahman Leader?
2. Rajput Leader ?
3. Bania leader ?

or for that matter any leader, be it a Muslim leader or sikh leader or any leader ?

Looking Forward to 'YOUNG TURKS'

Very well said Kalkhande ji,

When the country is not having a national leader than why should we feel sad about not having a national Jat leader !!

From my point of view in the true sense the last 'LEADER' India saw was Indira Gandhi, PM's came and went but nobody could get even close to her.

As far as Jat leaders are concerned Ch Charan Singh & Ch Devilal peaked the Indian politics but failed to prove that we can be good administrators as well, moreover their popularity was limited to Jat belts only. Still one feel proud of them as they were at one point of time the axis of Indian Polity.

Somebody mentioned Ch Bansilal's name, truly said we could never identify with him.I feel he deserved to go higher on national level.People say that at one point of time even Indira had started feeling threatened of Bansilal. It was only because of his 'Akhad' ways that he could never become hugely popular.

Balram Jakhar,Natwar Singh,Sishram Ola,Sahib Singh etc none of the present breed leaders have ever tried to be Jat Leaders at any level. That way only Chautals are left but than that quality is missing in them.
(Ye kyamai jarurat te faltu 'Dynamic' hain:D )

One can think of CM Hooda in a long run though he is yet to make a mark even in Haryana. ( Aade ye Birender,Randeep and party baat dekhan laag ri hai ak kad gadbad ho ar mhara soot bathai:D )

We can only hope that one of the youngsters take on so that atleast in future we do have some dynamic leadership.

sishram ola is a jat leader but he did nothing to his constituency.

I am not agree with your opinion about shisram ola but even then i will respect your views.

I belong to shisram ola's constituency so i can tell much better about him,
at present he is living in trimuty(delhi) in govt quarters as a cabinet minister
i suggest u when u go to delhi just once u visit his residence u can come to know about him very well,he is the most easily available minister in current govt. and as usually he is,so many people daily visit his residence,he provide them place for stay, food to eat and patiencely he listen their problem without identifying anybody and try to solve everybody's problem.

main koi tarafdari nahi kar raha hu,only once i saw him, suna bahut tha unke bare main lekin ek bar unse milne ka moka mila itna aged hokar bhi wo insan logon ke liye kitna kar raha hain(without asking any questions) main ye dekhkar unka fan ho gaya.

and till now good discussion is going on we can share our views here side by side we can enhance our knowledge about jat neta's

Arti ji ne kafi achi information abhi tak is thread main share ki hain, thanks to her for being with us with such a fantasting information and knowledge.

There was a question some where - Is there any leader in India these days?

Answer: Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Not trying to undermine any one but the current Jats are not "leaders". They are small time politicians who are in the govt. due to Jat "pacifier berths".

Let me just put in a word about my views on politics before i trudge further.
firstly, I do not affiliate to any political party nor do i have sympathy for any particular party, it is only policies that matter to me. I only assciate with jats and for that matter anybody who does any good to anyone. With this in mind let me quote two promising human being who are JATs, with whom i have had interaction and i have judged them on the above lines. Incidently one is in Congress and another is in BJP.

The first person is Mr Deepender hooda, a jatland member. Not because he is in power, but because his humble ways which are continuing, his concern about education and his promising intelligence as reflected in his maiden speech in the parliament during budget session(one can go through it on the loksabha site). The lok Sabha speaker commended him by saying that " this speech doent look like a maiden speech , but a speech made by some parliamentarian veteran". In the same very speech he has kept the concern of the state and farmers in a very logical way. He has handled all his criticism in a positive way. I had written to him about the "traffic jams during his visits" and he ensured that it is avoided in all his future visits. I had also criticised the power situation in a thread here and he mentioned their gov handicap and a solution to curb that. The point here is that how many politician take their criticism in right spirit. That makes this man very promising.

The second man that comes to my mind is Mr Jaivir Rana. He was instrumental in organising DJM at a lovely farm house. The members who attended this meet him would vouch for him. He had been my friend for long and we met in a very strange way, thats another story worth telling, but i would do so some other time. Coming back to him, his first claim to fame was when he was elected DUSU, Delhi president on ABVP ticket in 90's . He had been a very humble Gentleman in waiting. He lost out on delhi assembly ticket on BJP platform. May be this time he gets it and he is sure to win from Mahipalpur consituency. I have interacted with him on no. of issues and he seems to be very positive about most of them.

Before i conclude another name that flashes as witty, intelligent , honest and very valid here is Mr Rajendra Kalkunde. I wish he takes up politics with our support and do something for jats simillar to what he is doing to samli by buliding a Cancer Hospital.

It is only left to the time to tell us all how they fare. But as of now they have original and postive thinking.

In my opinion Jat suffer from Ego Problem a lot, and that is the reason we dont have a national leader.

but as RK Uncle said, we should be proud of the fact that be it a few, but we are one of the few casts who have given cast based leaders, be it Charan Singh, Om Prakash Chautala, Bansilal, B.S.Hooda for that matter.

No one knows what future has in store for us, Let us be united, no matter who is the leader.

Ramesh Bhai (afsar sahab) hehee though the topic here was lill bit diffrent then to your submission but the points u made are worth a recognation.

Bhai deepender - yess as i mentioned in another thread the thing i appreciate about him is he is a perfect blend of the power of youth and education and on top of that he is a jat, i personally appreciate the way he handles criticism and the way he gives head to the suggestions both on jatland aswell in personel / political life.

Jaiveer Rana - yess no doubts he was a great help to the DJM cause, here i would love to mention that not only he is a very lively and responsible person but he is a fine human being aswell, friends this is not a heard off comment but a personal experience. also he shares few of the rare qualities present in very few politicians in current times like education, youth and reasonable approach. sure we need emerging leaders like him and i wish not only he bags the next assembly ticket but he wins with a great margin also.

Dr. sahab (R.K ji)- well such fine souls are not born everyday, we need more people like him for the upliftment of our socitey, wish some day he steps in the parliament. i am sure he would be a great help to the community and nation's cause or least our politicians learn from people like him what it takes to give something back to the socitey and needless to mention the reason why our nation is facing all sorts of problems is the same and that is people have completely forgotten to give things back to socitey, all and topping all, the politicians seem to only belive in taking and giving seems to be a alien concept for them (thats why janjagriti came into existense), therefore once again i wish dr. sahab steps into politics and rise as a great politician.

all in all in 100% agreement with your noble thought

v r discussing national level jat leader n people start giving reference bout DUSU leaders....
agar 'Jaivir Rana' badiya leader hai to 'Amit Malik' ne ke kasur kar rakha hai.....
people who don't ve any conection with Delhi University must be surprised to c these names.........

Quite sometime back I wrote on Jatland that this site is a perfect forum to create national level leaders. I still believe very strongly in my conviction. Being a Jat is a matter of pride. However, being a leader of just Jats is not enough to become national leader for anyone. We Jats are best placed to think above castes and be the protectors of everyone. I will like to see a Jat who truly commands respect of all sections of Indians and all through India. Let us all work for this grand dream and live to see the day when we have a Jat who is truly a national leader and not just a Jat leader. May be our community will have to sacrifice some of its narrow interests to create such leader.

I must admit yours is one of the most practical point of view I have read on this form. Merely a Jat leader does not resonate with being a national leader. We must discuss on this some more.

Since we accepted that we dont have a Young National leader in the present age, i took this opportunity to do somekind of future projection of these people, who could turn out to be the future National leaders, in time to come.
Being a DUSU president is in itself is a big acheivement, catapulating one into the National scene. Arun jaitely and many more National figure have held that post in past.

I think it's not the first time these discussions are taking place. Like previous times, I am sure we won't be able to find a young national level jat leader...not because I am pessimist but I am looking beyond Jats. If you all agree, we don't need revolutionary leader who can transform the country(I think we already have many..;-)) BUT we desperately need a Kisaan leader. Technology, medicals, finance, urban development etc are the areas which has nothing to do with farming community. I would rather say, the development word hasn't done any effect to Indian Rural population. Farmers or rural population makes up 65+% of India and currently they have no or a very little representation in the parliament. Our elders in villages still practice the age old farming methods. In the field of IT, we compare ourselves to US and Europe but in terms of farming...do you know where we are? When farmers protest about support prices of SugarCane, wheat, rice, cotton etc, their voice have no support in the parliament. Casual nature of central govt. ruins a farmer's crop indirectly.

We need a leader who can defend the needs of farmers, who can get them the best prices of their crops..who can educate them to new technologies in farming..or atleast one who can guarantee availability of genuine seeds & fertilizer...one who can guarantee education in rural India.

We had a handful of farmer leaders..Charan Singh, Devi Lal, Bansi lal, Devegoda, Tikait, Sish Ram Ola, Balram Jakhar, Chautala, Ajit or may be 1 or 2 more but they were really confined to local areas. And of this list, I don't really rate them as leaders of rural community...many of these are cashing in the name of their forefathers. They couldn't actually leave an impact on national govt. to take the farming community seriously in the future also.

I don't know what others have to say about this!

I appreciate your point of view.

My point of view is that the present Jat (read agrarian) leadership is old and too self respecting to solicit. The people in second generation are too opportunistic to be acceptable as leaders across board. What needs to be done is to create absolute new leadership, which can still be groomed under the older formidable leaders to provide altogether new prospective to agrarian politics.
