WELL ARTI, the idea u have is wonderfull but dont you think its a hell lot of difficult thing, discussion is ok but do u really think that we can have such a fine blend of old and youth working selflessly. i wish it really happens one day in this country.

also u r 100% right for what u commented about the 2nd generation politicians.

also rakesh ji amit malik ne naa to kuch galat kiya hai aur na hi humne aisa kabhi kaha, I wished for jaiveer coz he helped us with the DJM cause and also assured for a continues support for the same like venue, ideas and many more vital things, hope you were present in last DJM.

for sure we need to encourage new breed of aspiring jat politicians who are educated or else we will continue voting for family legacy.

Yes, the older "formidable" Jat politicans are grooming (or -ed). But you know whom they are grooming (or -ed)? I mean all of them.

They are grooming their sons, daughters, daughter-in-laws, son-in-laws.

These so called Jat leaders (it is making me puke calling them leaders, btw), would use every means possible to ensure that a new face doesn't emerge, specially the talented ones, in their party. Otherwise they and their kids would loose the power. Who wants to do that?

Once these people get in power they are so "formidable" that one got be extremely connected to be able to bypass them. To be connected, we all know what one needs to do. So, here goes the aspirations of being a good leader in the drain.

If you can fix then fix that first. Ok, if we want to dream then why not dream pleasant.

In my opinion Jat suffer from Ego Problem a lot, and that is the reason we dont have a national leader.

but as RK Uncle said, we should be proud of the fact that be it a few, but we are one of the few casts who have given cast based leaders, be it Charan Singh, Om Prakash Chautala, Bansilal, B.S.Hooda for that matter.

No one knows what future has in store for us, Let us be united, no matter who is the leader.

Rightly Said Ch. Mahender singh tikait, Able Jat Kisan Leader(Bharatiya Kisan Union) and as far as i know kisanon kah shubh chintak aur mitra. Ch. Charan singh key baad dusra kisanon kah messiah.

Khaddar kah puraana kurta aur perr main chamade ki juuti. Aur sarr per gol si puraani topi pehanta hai Tikait baaba.

He doesn't carries even a single rupee in his pocket...(Stays distance apart from money like Swami Vivekananda's Guru Paramhans) and he is also a national level Jat Leader, tills yet he has not entered politics.

Rehta bhale hih voh gaon maiin hai, per usaki kisanon kih policies main woh international level kih agencies kih bhi khaat khadi kar deyta hai. Mumbai maiin usaki kisan rally maiin 50,000 kisan...shaid Ch. Charan singh key baad dusri baar aisa hua houga jahan taak mujhe paata hai.

Not only jats, but other caste farmers come to listen to him from long distances... If u get to listen to him, u can easily come to know what is the difference between the kisan welfare and politics...

I guess somebody with good information on him can write much more on him.

Somehow I tend to disagree that Ajit Singh is a leader of National status. True that he got the legacy of Ch Charan Singh but he could never decide whether he want to be a Jat Leader or an Anti Congress Leader or Anti BJP Leader.

He's tasted all parties and enjoyed ministership in all govt's.He has never tried to expand his base out of Western UP,Harit Pradesh was also one such gimmick. It is quite obvious that he was playing this card to woo votes,he never got reminded of this agenda since long but now a days he is again singing the same 'raag' as elections are close in UP.

Balram Jakhar Sahab was a leader of some status but he's been sidelined by Congress and posted as Governor,though his sons are doing well in the politics of Punjab.One of his sons( Sajjan Jakhar) is an MLA from Abohar.

Quite sometime back I wrote on Jatland that this site is a perfect forum to create national level leaders. I still believe very strongly in my conviction. Being a Jat is a matter of pride. However, being a leader of just Jats is not enough to become national leader for anyone. We Jats are best placed to think above castes and be the protectors of everyone. I will like to see a Jat who truly commands respect of all sections of Indians and all through India. Let us all work for this grand dream and live to see the day when we have a Jat who is truly a national leader and not just a Jat leader. May be our community will have to sacrifice some of its narrow interests to create such leader.
