totally off topic post

The only thing which overwhelmed me was voter's turnout. It was 95% or above..
Not sure about the scene in the States but here in Australia it is mandatory for a citizen to vote otherwise you(if citizen) cop a fine of a couple of hundred bucks unless you have valid reasons to prove on paper. I guess something like that might be prevalent there too.
One thing which I appreciate about this election is how gracefully McCain accepted his defeat. The victory margin was quite high but he wasn't embarrassed or anything. He wholeheartedly accepted the defeat. Came up on the stage, thanked the people and in the last he wanted all people should support Obama for the next 4 years. Then finished with "Gob bless you, God bless America." That is an exemplary act.

The only thing which overwhelmed me was voter's turnout. It was 95% or above.May be the America in Crisis put people to come up and express their rights. Someone rightly said that any crisis unify people much strongly than anything.Obama carries a aura and promise of different leadership. This historical speech indicates his smartness and understanding of populace's sentiments. I wish him luck for a better world that has been messed by Bush reigme and morever smile on people's faces again.:)

Samar, Voter's turnout was only 64% which is highest so far.

i dont know prashant... m not an IT guy, but d'u think america has tht many IT professionals. if yes, then still a lot of reliance will be on indian IT prof's as well. dominance and quality of indian IT professionals is well known thru out the world. u r in IT, you may be right... i wrote what i presumed. :)

Hahahaha Brahm g little mistake by u I m Nishant not Prashant but not a problem :). Even Brahm i m not very sure i wrote there what i thought might be i m wrong. Even its going to be very difficult for him that he will discourage the jobs for the other countries in US because every one wants cheap and best that's why he is trying to put taxes so that the difference between the Salary will going to be little and companies would prefer US people but that's very hard to implement. That's what i think may b i m wrong.

95% Blacks voted for Obama
&
While White were only 43%

Politicians in India started linking it with possibility of any Dalit PM in India.
Which is unlikely to happen at least for next 50 years.

India is not a priority for Obama.
But relations will be friendly unless Obama decides to talk about Kashmir.
Indians will have to work hard for their own national interest which will lead them to be at odds with Obama's policies on a number of occasions.
It will be business as usual barring Kashmir and outsourcing.

Nov 4th 2008 was America's historic moment - first black president - I hope this doesn't give any ideas to Mayawati.

Look, I think there's something that also needs to be talked about, when you talk about GOBAMA! ;)...

[Reader alert: I apologize to the ones that haven't really been following the '08 US political campaigning in too much detail, some of this would be useless info... Sowiee! :p]
THAT is: the Republicans!...and more specifically Sarah Palin, and Joe the plumber! (I still can't believe that c@#$*%!)... I mean, who can say that these Rep. guys didn't shoot themsleves in the leg with all this drama!

I have one thing to say for Sarah Palin; she definitely looks super hot (especially standing next to McCain! ;))... but that's where it ended for her!

The good news here is...that Now she had her 15minutes of fame it's back to obscurity!... as far as most of the folks are concerned; Alaska can have her; forever! (...to peacefully watch Russia from her back porch, and wear all her expensive campaign clothes, that is if the Republican committee has not already snatched them back!)!)...
She can always try and be the Tina Fey lookalike! ;)

As to Joe the plumber; oh man, where to start....well he is cutting a country song album as is to be believed, and should surely be making some appearances in all those 'positive thinking' seminars as guest speaker (he has his PR taking care of all that right now!)...

Lastly but not the least- you listen to jokers like O'Reiley and Sean Hannity on TV (FOX news!) and you would think that the end n' doomsday has arrived for the Americans now that Obama is to be President! (I have heard about freedom of speech in the US, but dude!... this is like stretching it to the limit...every prime time nite!)... Ah well, some guys would be jerks there whole life (that's what TV ratings are all about, right?)

Lesson for minorities everywhere

This american election has a lesson for minorities world over and the Indian muslims in particular that if they put their hearts for national interests, nation will have no problem in acepting one of them as president or Prime Minister. Think of nation and nation will think of you...

and on a lighter note, where Obama ends, Mayawati begins... Oba (ma) yawati...

whatever the case of obama .. yesterday there was a glow on the face of blacks and they were talking endlessly to their younger ones who were for the first time voted ....they were saying that for the first time so many ppl have registered for voting and not only registered but voted

then i saw the white ... though they supported obama but there was not glow and they were silent ...

Yes the white r not very happy abt it & they hve supported him coz there was no choice. Many people(including me) r questioning whether he has adequate political experience to be the president. To be a good person is one thing & to be good politician is another thing. i hope & pray that he does his job successfully coz it will be not only good for prosperity of Americans only but for the whole world.
