One more cheap attempt by Rahul Baba (Gandhi) for public attention.

politics ke jaankaron ... chho mat kariyo

Bera na mannai katti interest nahin politics mai ( most of us will say that too ;);) ) ... per jab tv pai dikhain hain na yeh Rahul Gandhi aar uss jisse boodhe or jawaan .. toh jee sa kharab ho jya hai. Or kuch bee na yaad aata bus yeh toote foote road aar har stop pai jo bhikhari khade rahwain hain woh aar ... sabjian aar falaan ke rate aar bera na ke ke.

But problem is not in politics, problem is with us and well with me, we dont want to take pain of reaching there, from there I mean something stops us to go ahead and choose politics, to lead us(bunch of fools who will vote for anyone who will offer them Carlsberg and well Dessi will do too).

To be frank some replies clearly support congress and some support others and some yet others. None is talking what is needed ! I am missing Chikkara (Sid's) bhai's opinion here ... some kind of wit over indian politics. Something is really needed. I dont have any idea of politics never voted too, but I m pretty sure that we lack leaders.

We wake up everyday for ourselves and pray to God, everything should go fine, fine means fine for us, today itself I threw banana peel somewhere just like that becoz I could not find any dustbin nearby. Oh god help us ....
 
actor ka beta actor, vakil ka vakil, doctor ka doctor,bureaucrats ka IAS/IPS , army ka army .... phir politics mein bhi aisa he hai.... sachin pilot, schindia, deep huda, jindal, devi lal family, bhajan lal family, bansi lal family, aur ab huda family bhi..... jisko jahan muka milta hai jahan per chuka laga deta hai, aur sabhi state mein aisa he hai.... v cant digest any youth icon without family history or godfather in politics.

Kisi aur party ne monopoly isliye nahin banaayi kyunki congress azaadi ke time main party thi. Netagiri ki dukaan sirf congress ke through chalti thi. Gandhi was never in favor of continuing with Congress post-independence as the party of governance. He wanted Congress to be disbanded as a political party and evolve as a social organization. But like in most other things, after independence, his voice was ignored in this matter as well. Most congress politicians, including Nehru, had just got power and were not willing to relinquish it that easily. Aap bol rahi hain ki koi aur koi family powerful kyun nahin bani. Nehru ke under kaise powerful ban sakti thi? Nehru, for all his virtues, had autocratic tendencies. Even the food minister in his govt., Patil, had said that Nehru is like a great banyan tree that provides shade but under which nothing grows. The good leaders in Congress like Rajgopalachari were forced to leave. And by the way, Nehru was not the chosen leader of the masses. He was chosen by Gandhi, much against the internal verdict of Congress party that had gone in favor of Patel. You could have had any tom-dick-harry instead of Nehru and the same masses would have chosen him and his family thereafter. The electorate has to choose from the choices available to it. And Congress and Nehru-Gandhi family was the only choice available for 40 years. Once people had more choices, they are electing all kinds of bull crap (like Laloo, Mayawati, etc. etc.) over this family. And that is as big a shame for the family as any can be.

Let me add that I don't regard Nehru himself as an evil that he is made out to be in certain quarters. He led the country through its most challenging time (think partition, multi-ethnicity, and a newly born county) and laid foundation of a stable nation. I have said more on that on the best PM thread. But he unwittingly created this dynasty and its legacy has been something that he would never be able to take pride in.

You gave the example of a businessman and how his son takes over the business. His son can do whatever with that business as it is his proverbial "baap ki jagir". No one really gives a damn. But a nation or even a political party can not be anyone's baap ki jagir. If it is, then it is a sad matter. I have no issues with Rahul Gandhi or even his mother joining politics. As citizens of India, they have full right to do so. But the entire Congress has become servile to them, and can't even go to the bathroom without asking the high command, and that is a sick joke.

indian ppl should get rid of congress and gandhi family asap, if they want india to prosper.

I have not seen the clip as you have not pasted the link but Rahul is a very educated person so I cant believe that he will say such things that India is bigger then europe and USA combined. I am assuming that he might be meaning it in terms of population and not the size. Again Subramaniam Swami is a thali ka baigan, so dont read much into what he is saying. I personally wish that Rahul should become PM of this country asap, my hunch is that he will be the one who is going to yield some results.

Subrahmanium Swamy is a very interesting person. A maverick, but a genius. What he says can be politically colored, so won't vouch for it. But he is a very impressive personality. He has covered Sonia Gandhi in detail here. Again, I don't know how true the allegations are. But the impressive part is that he has given annexures for the stuff he is claiming.

few years back when rahul gandhi was in usa , he got arrested for illegal possesion of huge amount of dollars .after the PMO intervation he got released..

God knows what happen to india when he will become PM :(

What I remember about Swamy most is the court cases he used to file against Jayalalitha around a decade back. She infact also went to jail for some time (may be for few hours or a day) because of the court cases he had filed. Interestingly later on he joined hands with the same Jaya too and started defending her. Dont know if they are still friends. That is the reason why I do not trust this guy at all.

Yes he keeps jumping ships. But many politicians do that. And TN politics is like that. Even Congress/BJP keep allying with DMK/AIADMK. But yes, this unstable part of his is something I don't like. One interesting thing about Swamy is that he has said really controversial stuff about the biggest names in Indian politics, yet no one has been able to sue him successfully. He is not a lawyer by education, yet fights all his cases himself. His knowledge of law is amazing. The bit about why Sonia couldn't become PM because of principle of reciprocity on his website is very interesting. He apparently wrote a letter to Kalam about it. Again, I am not 100% sure if he is right, but it is a very different view from what everyone else in media keeps saying- that Sonia did a huge sacrifice, etc.

BHai Priyanaka Gandhi hai toh ....Vansh toh aage bad hee gaya hain enka.....Baaki rahi baat rahul ki shaadi ki i remember once someone asked Vajpayee JI ki aap kuwanre hoo , He replied " Shaadisuda nahi hoon lekin Kunwara nahi hoon" Tab Lalu ne bola ki "haan jinke ghar bhains nahi hooti woh kya doodh nahi peete" :)....Rahul doodh toh pee hee raha hooga!!! lolz!!
