ONE PARAGRAPH THAT EXPLAINS LIFE!

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983.
From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?
To this Arthur Ashe replied:
"The world over -- 50 million children start playing tennis, 5 million learn to play tennis,
500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam,
50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals,
when I was holding a cup I never asked GOD 'Why me?'.
And today in pain I should not be asking GOD 'Why me?' "

"Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong,
Sorrow keeps you Human,
Failure keeps you humble and Success keeps you glowing, but only Faith & Attitude Keeps you going...
 
A Good Excerpt indeed. We should not blame others for any mishappenings. If by chance are victimized by some misfortune, then same by chance factor might have done a number of good things also to us

awsum is the word..really a gr8 thought.......all of us keep complaining but nvr evn try 2 luk n realize d other side....a real eye-opener,i must say!!!

very touchy .... and something which happens in an individuals life quite often .... the WHY ME PART ...

made me rembember old song ... i want to break free .... and the following lyrics but life still goes on .....

a book gifted by a friend of mine whni started my carrer ..TOUGH TIMES NEVER LAST TOUGH PEOPLE DO !! helped me a lot to overcome these kind of situations ....

on a personel level .. i belive in the following --- god gfts you the hardships just to make you a better person and so as to achive his goal of "developing the nature and the constant principle of :- CHANGE


all in all nothing remains what it is ... it all changes with time ... so better dont look up and question things like "WHY" & "HOW" rather thank the allmighty

There was a story on CNN two days back in which a guy who has only one hand ( lost the other arm in an accident ) is the captain of a local basket ball team , and he is taht good that he is the captain and a role model for everyone.


Yes , Mamta , u r right , life is exactly what you want.

ometimes i think life is a projection of our thoughts on the time axis ! :)

Ofcourse this is the essence of a satisfying n peaceful life besides all pains.

Doesn't this describe the tenacity of us Jats, the discipline,the uncompromising spirit of survival and adaptability.

Good attitude of Sir Arthur!

In place of those bold letters - I would say:

When I was holding a cup I always said to myself 'I deserve this!'
And today in pain I still say to myself 'I deserve it!'

And Hamendra, your last 4 lines deserves best comments! I really appreciate them!
