Title: Staff, Software QA Engineer (FC, iSCSI, Ethernet, FCoE)
Job Description
Primary responsibility is to plan, implement and test QLogic Storage & Networking Adapters (FC, iSCSI, Ethernet, FCoE ) to ensure proper device operation (driver, firmware and application) under various hardware platforms and operating systems (Linux, VMware, Solaris, Window, Mac).
1. Designs, develops, conducts, and the development of tests and evaluates results for conformance to plans and specifications. Makes recommendations based on the analysis of results.
2. Helps streamline and improve product qualification processes such as implementing routine review of product specs and new features, stringent routine gap-analysis of bugs slipped, study and removal of redundant test cases, scripting of test cases where possible, implementation of test case classification into priorities for enabling highest confidence in lowest time.
3. Share knowledge with team on various Quality assurance methodologies to improve efficiencies.
4. Assist in measuring hardware resource utilization and ensure efficiency for cross-functional utilization of hardware resources through use of physical layer switches.
5. Implement process to effectively utilize equipment remotely between the USA and India teams.
Required Skills
10+ years of experience in testing driver, firmware and/or application for storage networking products.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Incumbents must possess proven analytical ability and a high level technical background to perform complex research and development work. Technical leadership ability is required. Extensive knowledge of Linux, VMware and Windows operating system. Knowledge of SCSI and/or Fibre channel protocol. Hands-on experience with peripherals that include RAID, disk and tape subsystems.
Willingness to travel to the US for short durations.
Desired Experience
Must have experience with various hardware platforms such as: Pentium based workstations and multi-processor based server systems, Sun Sparc, IA64 and x86 products.

Required Experience:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline and 3 to 12 years of experience. MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline and related experience.
Experience developing and using system/block level complex test benches as well as writing verification plans and requirements.
Experience implementing directed and random test cases.
Experience with Verilog and System Verilog.
Excellent written & verbal communications skills.
Experience with PCI Express/Ethernet/Networking Object Oriented programming experience. Perl/shell scripting experience Storage and Ethernet Industry experience preferred.
Desired Experience:
