Pakistan election 2013 Women candidates

In Pakistan election 2013 , Six women candidates won the election, and 2 out of 6 are from the Jat community,
1.Ghulam Bibi Bharwana
2.Saira Afzal Tarrar
Once I asked in Haryana village if women ever get voted to power in Panchayat election. Pat came the reply from women that even if they do get voted, it is the menfolk of her family that control the actual power through her. She is just a name sake.

IT would be wrong to generalize it, yeah in many cases we see it happens as u have mentioned, but not in all. Not much change discernible in the position of women even now ! Isn't it so.

I heard about Jat Sikhs but never about Muslim Jats.In Pakistan election 2013 , Six women candidates won the election, and 2 out of 6 are from the Jat community,

Jat Sikhs call themselves Jatt and consider superior than Hindu Jats.
Still there is much similartity between Hindu Jats and Sikh Jatts due to common culture.
As far as Muslim Jats are concerned,,I have heard that there is no caste system in Islam,,then how Muslim Jats are present.
I want to know Whether Muslim Jats follow Islamic traditions or Jat traditions ??
Hindu Jats neither marry within Gotra(Surname) of Father,mother and Grandmother nor within same village whereas Muslims marry within their family.
There is Khap System in Jat culture.Do Muslim Jats also have Khap system?
Hindu Jats by majority are vegetarians/eggetarians but all Muslims are non-vegatarians ..
Hindu Jats consider Cow a sacred animal and even don't kill animals but Muslims give sacrifice of cows/camels/goats/sheeps/buffalos during Eid-ul-Zuha.
There are more differnces too ..

As we move from indian border towards khyber pakhtunkhwa, the term 'jat' is more often then not used as ' non Arian farmers with land' rather than ethinicity. So a large number of pakistani muslim jats are not pure blooded jats but are also mix of rajputs, gujjars, pashtuns and punjabis(aroras and khatris).
They are proud to be jats but are always muslims first. They would rather side with a sayyed, muslim chura or arian then a hindu or sikh jat.
