Can anyone tell how many of Jat farmers son will be getting benefit with this. just like SC/ST only those will go to these elite institutions who's fathers are IPS educated and can afford these institutions.

I had seen in the University how we felt about SC/ST when they got admission even after getting negative marks moreover getting stipend per month and running bikes here n there.

No one in my class were from a poor background all were the sons of IPS/IAS or so so sons. The same would happen with in Jat community as well.

In a single family of 4 people all are on good job on the basis of reservation. ARE THEY STILL BACKWARD EVEN AFTER GETTING ALL THIS and on the other hand other family don't have anything to eat. if you take historical data on Chamars has benefitted from it as they were educated and nurtured by the policies of B R Ambedkar.

Another logic given by some good educated people is that we were depressed by others So your answer is to take there rights and depress them doesn't seems to be logical enough. if that is logical than we must also suffer in the hands of so called lower caste in villages.

In my opnion it should be on economic basis rather than caste basis this is simply to divide us.

I agree with you. The influential will always make use of the system more than the needy one. Reservation has not solved the problems of SC/STs in 60 years, it would not solve ours too.

I liked your quote : "It's better to have Good Enemy rather then Bad Friend"

Similar to this Kabir had said:

"Nindak Niyre Rakhiye, Aangan Kuti Chabai,
Bin Sabun Pani Bina, Nirmal Kare Suhai (Swabhav)"

I think reservation is nothing but a policy of discrimination and division of society. The earlier we get rid of it, better the humanity would be.

Mukeash Bhai or Saab Jat Bhaiyon ko Namaskar,

"Bhai thari sari baat maan lete hai ki obc hone se jato ka apman huwa hail lakin the shyana adami ek baat yeh batawo ki agar aap jato ke liye OBC tag nahi chahte ho to phir apke pass kya plan hai community ke development ke liye?............................. dusri baar sochne ki himmat bi nahi kar sakta agar wo fail ho gaya tha… "

Mere Khayal se aap ne thik se nahi parha hai, main koi solution nahi karene wala is Reservation ka, jaise ye Jaton ki liye roka ja sakta hai to Pura reservation hi rok dena chaheye jo main to nahin kar sakta kyon ki main koi neta nahi, and don't want to be a Neta, or samdhan bhi diya hai mene or woh hai "BHARTIYA JUDICIARY" is desh ke Adalat yeh kam kar saketi hai. And I am saying there should be no reservation for any body including SC/ST only the right of Equality.

mera ek friend PMT( pre medical test) ki tyari kar reha tha… uske baap ke pass koi ghani income bi nahi thi … bechare ne udhar karke 45000/- rupiye coaching ke fees ke jama karwa diye kisi mere usi friend ka example diya jata tha aur kehte ki jab uska hi nahi huwa to tum kyo hame karji niche dalna chahta hai…

Aap ke dost or us ke ghar walon ne acche kosis ke hai, or jo log us ka example bana rahe hain they are behaving like just escapist and people like this will always find n number of reasons for not giving an attempt " Jahan Cha wahan Raha". My Best wishes to your friend and i am sure he will definetly be a sucessfull person if not like a Doctor then in another field.

Wo log bi insaan hai .. unke bi apne sapne hai .. lion woin ki bate shyariyo maie achi lagti hai…keyboard pitane se lion nahi hota… ...............i bhale hi unki bato se kuch aur lage…

Woh log bhi insaan hain or main bhi insaan hoon, mujhe bhi aacha lagta ki main IPS/IAS hota, par nahi ban sakta kaun ki reservation hai Sucess ke chances or failure ke chances sooche or study khatam karte hi aapne Naukri kar le, jayada lecture baji main nahi gaya, or main is site pe koi lecture dene kam nahin join kiya hai ,nahi de raha hoon, kyonki "TIME IS MONEY", or uska aap jaise bhai kuch dene wale to hain nahi.

Jab kuch kar nahi sakte hai to phir jo kuch ho reha hai wo to hone do… is desh ke resources par sabhi ka hak hai .. aur agar isko ensure karne ke liye kesi bi policy banai jati hai to maie to aise bhoot acha manta hoo chahe wo reservation ho ya kuch aur…

Mitrwar, mere akele or tere akele se kuch hone wala nahin, nor na main SC/ST ke liye reservation or na Jat ke liye kiya, aaj jo tumhare dost ke saath hua hai kal woh tumhare wajah se dusere ke liye hooga, kiya kisan sirf tum ho, gareeb or non resource sirf hum jat kisan hi hain kiya, andhra pardesh main to kisan sirf is liye Khood kushi kar rahe hain because they have no money to return bank loan and their crops are failed. Or Joosh main aane se phale aapne socho what you have done for this community, forget about community think of your good self and this community will develop automatically. If you can develop yourself, you are automatically developing this JAT community, and the number of Developed JAT after independence will automatically increase. You are restricting your self to those few neta's in no. ,think of people from JAT community who are big bureaucarts, defense professionals etc. and best wishes to you to be one among these qualified and more respected people and not these neta's.

Or tumhare information ke liye main bhi kisan ka hi khoon hoon or Loharu ke paas gaun (village)ka hoon

Or aagar kise ki petition par Apex court Jat reservation rok sakti hai to tum log kiyon nahi petion lagate................ and this is thought for the day

Jit Bhai aur Saab Jat bhaiyoon ko Namaskar

He just wanted to tell u that some so called Lions here who doesnt know ground realities....just protest Jat reservation sittin at their comforatable homes... I cant get what is the lion thing in reservation....dont they know everyone tried to surpress n exploit Jats always but this is the other thing that Jats can never be surpressed or dominated but today situation is diffrent now higher society trying to defeat us with diplomacy.

What do you undersatnd by the meaning of Ground realities are they different for each individual, they are applicable same for every one whether you , me or mukesh or yatinder, it is same what we are facing and as far as i am concerned i am against any reservation and not only Jat reservation, regarding comfortable home how can you decide about others they are in comfortable home or having discomfort in the home, i have left my home for studies at the age of 10 and will see my parent one time in year, my mother was looking after my grandparents and staying in village near Loharu and my father was posted on borders he was working with Border Security Force, met with gerenade accident in srinagar and 70 percentage of body was damaged, till today have sprinklers in his body and develop pain in winter, but one thing he put his best effort to get us education within his limited resources and that was only good thing my Grand Father( simple farmer ) did for his Children( my father and uncles) because which all of them were sucessful in getting jobs, my uncle Double MA, Double M ED was working like a Education Havaldar only, who after retirement worked for private school but did not lose hope and today he is Principal of Sr Secondary School( not through reservation) after 25 years of finishing his education of Double MA and Med , may this job dreamt after his education as per his qualification. These are same realities with every one and hope what you also understand them as ground realities.

I really don't understand who has supressed JATS , this community where ever it is leaving has always been taken as granted to be strong people, sit in a gathering, once people understand you are JAT they feel to be very careful in behaviour in dealing with you, even in Cinema who are till todate considered as storng people are only JATs aapne Dhamender Bhai, Sunny Bhai, who has supressed us, it was only the education that has supressed us the most, not the other communities, who do you think is stronger than you( JAT) a Punjabi, no they are hardly bothered of you they are bothered of there growth through education, buisness and same with Baniyas, regarding Rajputs they are even in more bad condition then yours(JATS), geograhically they are staying in those areas worse then what JATs are occuping .

I don't know who is Higher Society till date i was thinking i belong to a higher society as being a part of JAT community but now i have to re think because of this tag OBC, and if you thinking any thing else as higher society please do inform me i will try to clear your concept on that also.

Jai ram ji ki

vande matram

You are correct. But i want to add one more thing...There is no higher or lower society..These are things of past..Now there is people to people,Rich people-Poor people...
No society is higher by itself.its people who makes it and there are all types of people in each society who are giving it both types of names...

Is reservations-based-on-caste the only solution for uplifting the backward castes ?

Reservation has been a "Kick and Kiss" issue for me over the years. It seems reserved and non-reserved both parties are unhappy with present scenario.Anyway,While reading over net, i came across to one article on a blog and pasting it here for the Jatlanders over the same issue.I appreciate some of alternatives presented in the article.
-----------------------------
Problem at hand?

Ponder this. We have had a long history of different types of governments- monarchies, anarchies, dictatorships, aristocracy, theocracy, communism, democracy, and so on. Some of these governments have existed for thousands of years, like monarchies, for example. Some, like Communism, seem to be an excellent mechanism in a text book, but when implemented produced extremely undesirable results. What we have come to realize with so many experiments is that democracy seems to be the best possible governments for our times. Sometimes we don’t have the luxury to experiment with each of them. Instead we look back into history and learn from others experiences to come up with our own way of implementation.. Let’s explore some of the alternatives to the problem at hand:
Reservations-based-on-economic-status seems to be more logical and idealistic but it’s like using an ointment to cure cancer. You are healing the wound, but the wound is just a symptom of far deeper problem inside the body. That deeper problem in our case is caste. How can one ignore that discrimination which was carried out for centuries is the root cause, and that this discrimination was based on caste? Any solution one can come up has to be based on caste lines, even if it means furthering the concept of caste. One has to accept some ground realities here- Caste is here to stay, just like religions, just like countries and just like races. Let’s work with what we have instead of trying to ignore and believe that such divides do not exist. May be, over the next few hundred years, when all castes have reached similar status one can actually contemplate removing it through a greater social movement.
Providing basic facilities like better schools, better primary education, free scholarships seems to be a good solution as well. It will definitely root out the chronic problem, like Ayurvedic medicine. This is a solution we should definitely espouse and right now we are definitely working on it as nation- though painfully slow. But while making efforts towards this direction, one has to realize that it will take many generations before it will have any direct impact on any of the lower castes. The problem of caste is not just economic. If it were, we should have seen all castes in all echelons of economic levels. What I mean by this is that we should have seen proportionate representation of each caste in each economic echelon- which is not the case. The statistics on this are extremely lopsided to even hypothecate that the situation has been economic. One knows the reasons for such lopsidedness. It has nothing to do with economic status, and everything to do with one’s caste. Therefore, in addition to providing slow medicine like good facilities and incentives, one should attack the problem directly, the way the modern medicine does, using some antibiotics. This may mean some other sections will feel the pain and have to face the brunt. But if one wants to get quicker and concrete results that is the only way. The rest of the body should be ready to face some pain for few generations so that a future can be envisioned which is better for everyone. Reservations-based-on-caste however imperfect brings quicker results compared to the extremely slow solution of providing facilities and incentives. But over a period of time, this solution should become the backbone while reservations should fade away.
Affirmative Action as used in US sounds very appealing. We should try to implement this at least in some sections of Indian society and see its results. May be we could start with Indian industry and use that experience to extend it to Indian Universities as well. But, for affirmative action to work, one has to have a desired level of maturity and I strongly suspect if Indian elite have that maturity (sorry for condescension here). We did not grow up knowing and studying the ill-effects of casteism in our school or college. Most of the IITs, Narayany Murthys and Azim Premjis seem to show no maturity as well when it comes to dealing with this problem. Nobody is coming out to apologize for the discrimination. Unless we show certain level of maturity at different segments of Indian society, we will not have a level-headed discussion. Affirmative Action has to be accompanied by a mature, voluntary and conscious decision to promote backward castes for it to produce any positive results. It may take more time and more education to bring that kind of level-headed discussion in this country. To achieve that, I would like our primary education to include discussion on discrimination (caste based, gender based, religion based) and wait for a newer generation to grow with balanced ideas instilled in them. Till then, imposition of reservations-based-on-caste is the only way out. Please understand that even US did not come to this maturity all in one go. At one point of time the President of US had to send in Army to uphold a Supreme Court ruling so that some Black students could be allowed into a college. After that, they went on an overdrive to educate their masses on the ills of discrimination and positives of civil rights movement. When we do achieve that maturity in our country, hopefully we will do away with imposition of reservations and espouse affirmative action.
In conclusion, I believe, reservations-based-on-caste is not the perfect solution, but it seems to be best possible option given other alternatives. Some of the alternatives seem to provide good text-book examples or demand more prerequisites but are not the best alternatives in the present scheme of things.
