please suggest a "to be electronics engineer"

hello friends,
i m in final year of B.E. in ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION .
My marks are quiet average so far, can anybody suggest me any extra course or something which i can do to increse my chances of getting a job in a good company(it can be in any field like softwae,electronic,it,telecommunication etc.)

Unless you have to get a job and can not post pone this, Do some more research and decide what line you want to go in and what line has better prospects. If you can wait for some more time, I would suggest explore MS in India and than try for Phd on scholarship...

Another option could be, if you get a job right now, enroll in some part time MS and prepare for GRE and go for Phd latter on, job exp might be a good asset...

if you are good in digital and analog electronics , I would suggest you u go for CDAC-pune (preferbly pune centre) VLSI 6-months program,cource structure is well defined and had lotsa industry interface. U have to take entrance exam somewhere in feb 2006.

But if you want to pursue higher education - do as suggested by Dalal Sahab , write GRE and TOEFL now if u donot want to miss fall 2006 session. Application should reach univ. latest by Feb 2006.

From which college u r doing ur grad?
if its not a very known college....then i suggest u to do post grad. Concentrate on GATE...IISC is a very good inst. and GATE is not very difficult...only thing needs is ur basic electronic funde...haan par for admission in IISC u need to be scored more then 99%......or if u waana to do a job then ...choose some specific like comm. digital or analog....again don't go for hardcore elect. if u r not from a very known college...its better prepare for software + digital(simple + VHDL/Verilog) etc OR software + communication/networking etc...

Hi Jat Bhaiyo.

I am Vedwart Malik working as software engineer in lotus notes plateform.
But From college days i was interested in embedded systems or something like "software+electronics".But as a fresher it is very difficult to get job in that field,so i joined thhis company .But now i want to change to embedded systems .I have done my B-Tech in CS but i am very good in electronics.
I can not leave my job because of family responsibilties ,so can not go for C-DEC as a regular student.Please suggest me what should i do to get my favourite field.So far knowledge in electronics field is concerned i am very good in this field.

well if u waana come to EDA filed(software + digital elect.) then refresh ur elect. fundas...+ software i think there is no problem as u r already working as a software eng. but in EDA work is in C/C++ perl etc. on unix based platform...+ read VHDL/Verilog( one week task)...
then forwad ur resume in company like....atrenta..cadence...synopsys...interra...mentor...and many more....
